@Blossom Dr M is Dr Matthias the Reproductive Immunologist up in Sydney. Unfortunately Dr W at CFC can put a stop to me doing a fresh cycle as it's his clinic, but fingers crossed he's happy to take my money!
Yeah, the hopeless loser feeling sucks, esp when 'excellent' quality B5AA's (the highest grading) and a hatching blast implant but don't progress past 14dpo. And my ED's three other recipient's have babies.
I didn't go local because I didn't want to be part of a very personal marketing exercise. To have to be chosen. I was too tired. CT was swift and relatively easy I guess. Horses for courses.
Congrats on your massively productive day! Good luck with the bank!!
@Gagingi Ta hun. I'd love to blame it on the eggs but I'm not so sure. The only way I'll know is to use a new ED and see if I have a different response. A bl~~dy expensive experiment. I'd actually love to use the same donor as she gifted me 28 eggs.
And yes, I'm going to have to source a local GP for my CT scripts and lining referrals etc. My GP wouldn't do it.

Ah, I didn't realise your Doctor here owned the clinic in CT also. Bugger. So I guess it's just going to come down to whether he'll take your money or not. Can't see a problem with it myself, but I suppose it comes down to statistics for him too.

I'm not sure what the problem is/was but I too suspect the eggs in this case. I'm kind of glad that even though your donor gave you many eggs, she is off the market. If nothing else it will give you a fairly definitive answer if you do another round and it doesn't take. I am crossing everything I have that that doesn't happen though, because as you say it is a bl00dy expensive exercise and a pretty high risk one too.

How do you think you will proceed from here? Are you leaning towards any of your four options from the other day? It's funny, I clearly remember saying "Once I've given our own eggs one more shot, I'll be happy I've done everything I can, and that will be the end of our journey.

Meanwhile..... It's bloody hard to concede defeat sometimes!

(Not that I am saying you should! Just that I 'get it.')

@winsor I think that is a lovely idea for your Bub. I started watching a repeat of compass this morning where people were making shrouds to remember loved ones. Some were for wrapping, others were made as wall hangings for remembrance. I couldn't watch all of it but I love the idea.

Please do stay too. Going through IVF is like joining a bikie gang. Once you're in you're in for life. There's no unlearning the heartache of failed cycles or dashed hopes. But we can support and encourage others going through the same. Besides I think your journey hasn't ended yet.

One of my fave quotes from a time where I had even more terrible things going on than even IVF has thrown at me is this:

Everything will be Ok in the end.

If it's not Ok it's not the end.

@winsor your post was beautiful and thank you sharing your journey and time with Grace with us here. Please don't leave us behind as this thread wouldn't be the same without you. I love the idea that anytime you see that plant you will think of her. Does it have a scent?

@Tahli I'm sorry to hear about the blood test result. Even though you know it's coming it still burns and it sounds like lb and anyone who works with her has just lost all levels of empathy which is disgusting really. You have a challenging road ahead but if anyone can find a way it's you. Reading about all the options makes my head spin! Im sorry I can't give any advice only encouragement x

Yes @winsor why would you leave ☹ We all want you to stay. That is a nice and lasting memory of your lost bubba & by the sounds of it very appropriate for you and DH. I too am not much of a green thumb but lately I have planted some NG bottle brush off shoots from my mums adult tree and they have lived and they get these gorgeous red flowers and the birds love them so I know what you mean when you mention getting some from your mums garden, very sentimental xo @Blossom74 did you see your bank. It might be more worthwhile getting it as a home loan ( min $50000) but you just use what you need and repay the extra straight back into the loan. I did that when I got my car as the interest rate is much less. @BIB well done to your DD RE walking. Such a clever poppet and a real testimont to the time you spend with her. I bet the Easter bunny hunt was great fun. It reminded me of when I used to do them and how exciting it was (you know last year 😂) just kidding I think I was 4 or 5 yrs old. OMG the toddlers wouldn't stand a chance against me and the chocolate. Speaking of which what was that talk of ice cream. Special yummy ice cream? More info is required?? You can tell I have started on the prednisone right 😊
