@Blossom74. Just be careful about the personal loan. I'm on a fb page and a couple wanted a personal loan and said it was for iVF and they were declined due to the fact if it worked she would not be able to pay it back as she would be off work... Pretty tacky
    maybe not say for iVF.

This means that we've had a total of 50 eggs retrieved over 3 cycles, with nothing to transfer from any of it - no blasts, and only 1 partial morula once (a lagging day 6 one that didn't go further). DP and I were commiserating about our latest epic fail this afternoon, and we agreed that we feel like weird simultaneous over/underachievers :-)

Our WTF meeting will happen soon. I wonder whether FS will suggest one more OE cycle with a changed protocol, or if he'll skip straight to the DE idea. DP is very against DE, but I'n starting to think it might be a good next plan.

Oh hon, I'm so sorry. How very disappointing for you both.

I agree that DE represents another possibility and a way to move forward. You could also consider a change of protocols, or even switching to another FS for a different point of view.

Lots for you both to think about and discuss.

Good luck which-ever way you choose to move forward

Hmmm, well we can't afford to borrow anything - that's the truth of it. But we will do what we can and rearrange things to make it happen. Hopefully the bank looks at our good credit history and our combined income and can make something happen for us! The teller, when making the appointment for me yesterday, asked the purpose of the loan. I told her "Medical expenses." I am happy to talk to the Bank Manager about it if need be. DH is suggesting perhaps a credit card rather than a personal loan. We don't have capacity to get a small home loan I'm afraid. We will go where the interest rate and repayments are lowest!

Oh that sucks! Luckily for me I work from home, and even if the IVF works my intention is to keep working as well as looking after the baby. I have also spoken to work about this and they are happy with the arrangement too. Hopefully that will reassure the bank's mind. Plus, DH and I want to get a joint personal loan if possible, in both of our names. That should help too. I hope!

We were pretty tight with $ and took $15000 over 5 years, repayments were $100 a week. 2 1/2 years in we decided to change our home loan, roll everything together, and we got some extra money for house renovations. It's actually costing is less in repayments now doing it that way & got rid of the personal loan. Just be careful with a credit card. If you can get one that's no interest for 12 months, great, but be aware of what the interest rate is when that period finishes as it will be higher than a personal loan interest rate. I'm sure if you're approved for an unsecured personal loan, what you use it for is up to you. We were up front about it & no one cared.
    Good luck

@Rubywoohoo I'm so very sorry. You must be devastated (understatement I'm sure). Massive hugs hun, .
@Bongley You're in my thoughts. xx
@infinity888 Super fingers crossed that you've found your answer.
@BlondeinBrisvegas Congrats on DD walking. It would seem she's motivated by chocolate like her Mummy...and quite rightly so I say!! (I've just polished off a mini GU chocolate cheesecake pud for breaky, as my commiserations for yesterdays official BFN!!!)
@midnite01 Good call on waiting a month but poo about not getting the reduced rate of stamp duty. Any reason why?
@Blossom74 Good luck with the bank. You're definitely seen as having reduced earning capacity as soon as the word 'pregnancy' is mentioned, which I completely understand. I can't remember the specific formula that's used but it might only be that they take 20% of your earning capacity into account, for example, and 100% of DH's. Hypothetically, if the bank decides you're too high risk, can DH take the loan out soley in his name? I'm not trying to be a downer. I just want you to get the loan so you can get those embryos in!!
Hi to all the girls, .
