Thanks everyone. Hopefully we can find a way to do it. Mostly I think the intralipid injections would be tough to source if required.
Also as I am not in Medicare so it would likely be very expensive, if I could get a specialise onboard from NZ to prescribe what Dr M recommends.
Is it a pretty good success rate?

Default High NK cells-question about Dr Mattius

    Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting in this thread and I'm sorry if I ask questions that have been on here before. We were doing IVF through Genea in Newcastle and I had 4 miscarriages. We then moved to a different Dr in Coffs Harbour who did a lot more testing and discovered through biopsy that I have high NK cells in my uterus. I also have PCOS, Hashimoto's, a sub-separate uterus (which they've said isn't a problem) and endo. My new Dr started me on 25mg of prednisone and 100mg of aspirin to do a trial biopsy to see if it was working. The results showed that my NK cells were still sky high and I had a benign polyp. Last week I had a hysteroscopy and had everything cleaned out. They don't have a permanent lab in coffs- they have a pop up type lab every 3 months, so we have to wait until October for a transfer. We have 4 frozen embryos left. For the October cycle I'll be on prednisone, progesterone Pessaries, clexane, aspirin and transfusions of intripilids. I have just found out about Dr Mattius in Sydney and I'm wondering if I should organize a phone consultation with him? I feel a bit bad about doing that to my Dr in Coffs cos he's so lovely and is the first one that has found out what's wrong with me. But it sounds like Dr Mattius's protocol has a lot higher doses. Does Dr Mattius do the actual transfers, or does he advise my IVF Dr of what protocol to put me on etc?? I'd really love some advice as to whether people think that Dr Mattius is a way better option, even though my Dr will be doing steroids and intrilipids?
Sorry for the long post and thanks for your help xx

    Hi everyone,
I just have a few questions and think this would be the best spot to ask. I had a phone consultation with Dr M just over two weeks ago and did all his requested bloods. Just wondering how long your results took to come back? Also did they call you or did you have to call up and hassle them to get your results?
I have done previous protocols with clexane/prednisone/aspirin/progesterone which didn't work. Have had three transfers of 5 day blasts now, never had a positive preg test ever.
I"m hopping to get Intralipid added to my regime and just wanted to ask you all about that.
Does he give you a script for it and you can collect it yourself at a pharmacy? Or does he contact a hospital and organise it? I am a registered nurse and husband is a paramedic, so I'm really hoping he can just write a script and we could do it at home. It would just save us so much money as hospital fees wouldn't be covered as I don't have private health covering pregnancy. Any help would be appreciated, all these thoughts are keeping me awake.

You usually have to chase them for the results and make a follow up appointment. The results shouldn't take too long to come back like normal blood tests prob a day or two. I was told a trick from someone on here to put my details on the top so I get a copy of the results also.

They won't let you do the intralapid at home you have to have it administered in a hospital by Dr M and the nurses unfortunately.

    Good luck!

    Goodluck xx
The Yahoo email address!? if it wasn't for the years of posts about this guy being basically a magician I would not think he was legit!
I have emailed and will follow up with a phone call today. I am pretty reserved in my expectations as I think being over here is going to be not only a logistical nightmare but a pretty huge financial burden should I need to travel etc
Fingers crossed he has had NZ patients before and there is a work around!

Lol @Kiwikate I thought the same thing as you with the yahoo email address. Who uses yahoo anymore especially a business!!! They also don't take credit card, it's pretty backwards. Hope you can get what you need.

@Pink6: you can do a phone consult. Best to send in all your test result before the consult. You r entitled second opinion so don't feel bad about it. I felt the same to my FS. I came clear to my FS about me seeing dr M. She was a bit disappointed at first but we were all good in the end. She is very open minded. My FS doesn't do intralipid so she was fine with me doing it through dr M. However, I was able to find someone else to do it here in Perth so I didn't have fly over every few. Not sure if dr M likes the idea but it makes sense for us interstate patient. If Ur dr can do intralipid, that would be great. Some Drs are open minded and might even happy to hear what dr M says.

Thank you so much. I just got a phone appointment with Dr M for July 7th!! They said on the phone that they don't do IVF?? So does Dr M manage the medication side of things and you have the IVF process with your own Dr still??

    Correct
So you would still do ivf with your fertility specialist

And doctor m, medicates your auto immune system
