    Hi Olive,

I really don't know what to do now, What is Neupogen for? Dr. M did not recommend it to me. He recommended that is my last fet failed to do LIT I think I need to see him again to see my options. It has been a tough year for me last year and not that I am started another failed FET dunno how long I can endure having failed cycles. I am trying to get an appointment with Dr. Braverman to see what his is views and will let you know. Thank you.

    Hi there.
Have an appt with Dr M next week and his receptionist said I need a referral. What if I don't have one? Seeing my GP tmr to ask for one, but what should I say to him? I'm worried he won't give me one as many Drs don't believe in immune issues (my FS is one of them).
Any tips would be highly appreciated!

Just ask for a referral. Auto immune disease is legit. They will give u one. It's not that Drs don't believe in immune issues, they do, it's that they're not 100% on its effect on fertility

Hi @Apples1234! Unfortunately, my Clinic won't treat for immune issues (not even test for them). I'm going with Dr M and if I need to be treated I won't tell my FS. Worries me a little, though.

Have you got your phone appt yet? Let me know how it goes, I have to make a list of all the things I need to ask 😊

Just ask your GP for one
    Thats what i did
He didn't even ask any questions

And if your fs wont support you

I would be inclined to see another specialist (that's what i personally did)

As my fs said keep off google he is the doctor hahaha
And he wws wrong as dr m got me pregnant

Hi. Yep I have one early this month so I will fill you in. Not sure if you saw but you can claim on Medicare (despite them saying you can't).
You can get a referral from a GP. Doesn't have to be a FS. X

    Hey ang,

I have heard of the program a friend of mine completed and sadly has not been successful

I personally have seen naturopath (sharkies on the gold coast) who is well known to treat fertility issues

I was also unsuccessful, now i understand people wanting to take the natural path, and its a totally personal choice

But i guess if you want to take the fastest route its probably with.modern medicine... as it has a higher success rate

Dr m. 80% over to cycles speaks volumes

Everyone I know who was a ltttcer who has ttied everything and ended up with ivf had tried natural path but modern medicine eas usually what them a miracle

I'm not saying I wouldn't also use conventional medicine (steroids, blood thinners etc), but I've always been open and an advocate for natural ways so thinking this could be something to tackle too.

She thinks perhaps for me might be to do with some of my methylation issues (partly due to MTHFR gene mutation but possibly other things) / reaction to mould in our home (we are moving v soon thank goodness!) / something unknown.

There's also a natural medicine doc in Brisbane who has a whole program for natural fertility and they advocate treating NK cells with Chinese herbs - Dr Andrew Orr. Problem with their clinic is its an expensive program and you can't access him for a one on one consult. He has trained others in using his Chinese medicine formulas -including the naturopath I'm seeing now.

I thought it'd be worth a shot!!?!? They want you to do it for three months. I'm going to do two months because that feels like too long! It's been good to take the extra month off as last time (2nd ivf stim) really did me in on all levels.

Anyway we won't do the full program - it's 1900 for a couple for the first month, think it's 1000 after that? Includes 3 hr seminar in Bris you have to attend, 1 hr consult, Acupuncture appt for both and herb supply for both (they work out what need during consults and from history/records etc)...

Has anyone else heard of the program - Shen therapies. He's on the web. Or has anyone used herbs etc along with meds? I know someone else asked this the other day too.
Oddly enough, I went to see my GP for a referral for dr M yesterday. He said that he had a couple that had been TTCing for more than 4 years, IVF incl and nothing worked. They asked about his thoughts about Chinese medicine bc they were going to see a naturopath, and he was quite expensive. Long story short, they got pregnant after 3 months under his treatment (he mentioned some tonics and Chinese herbs), no IVF involved.
He even said to us it would be worth to try and to keep our minds open.

I wish my FS were as open minded as he is!
