Default Cost for epidural at Private hospital

Hi I'm 33 weeks pregnant and booked delivery for North Park Private in Bundoora. I'm planning for natural birth without epidural but I guess anything
could happen during labour.. I'm just wondering how much costs for epidural. I know it depends on which anesthetists to use but if anyone gives me roughly ideas, it would be great! My OB also does delivery at mercy so I'm also thinking to change to mercy then I probably won't be charged for it?? Since I'm from Overseas, I'm very confused about hospital systems here..your help would be very appreciated

I had both my boys in a private hospital in Sydney. I didn't get an epidural but I was advised that the fee varies depending on which anaesthetist and whether it's "after hours". The price range quoted was around $1000-2000.

I had my son in a private hospital in Sydney. Asked for the epidural around 8pm (so after hours), think it was around $1500. That was four years ago now. I did get some back from Medicare though.
