Default Today I asked for help and I'm proud!

So we all tell people not to be afraid to ask for help but how many of us actually do it? Well today I did.

I'd just finished shopping in disgusting heat with my 2 littlies and I asked a middle aged man who had just parked next to me if he would return my trolley. And being the polite older person that he was he was more than happy to.

So when did you last ask for help?

Great job! People usually are happy to help.

This is so timely for me - I am making a conscious effort to ask for more help at the moment, I am terrible at it, especially with my husband, then get all snarky and resentful when he doesn't psychically realise I need a hand!

Today I asked him to start getting up 10 mins earlier on work days so he can watch the twins while I shower before he leaves. Normally I do it when they have their first nap but they've been a bit hit and miss this last week and I feel awful if I have to wait til the evening to have one.

I never do. I really suck at it and I can't imagine that changing anytime soon
My parents were very against helping people, incl me, so I grew up without ever asking for help. And it's flowed on I suppose.
I guess though, it has made me feel like I don't need help, as nice as it would be, I can make do without. (Silver linings hehe)
