    Default Implanon Side Effects

    Hi All,

I got my implanon inserted in early January, and all was going well until last week, when I got my first period. Just wondering if these are all symptoms that people have experienced, or should I be concerned?

    - "period" had now lasted 10 days.
    - Severe cramping in what feels like both my ovaries, and lower abdomen at times.
    - Nausea
    - dizziness

I would also add in a complete reduction in sex drive (like, not wanting anything at all).

I'm a teeny bit worried about the sudden nausea and dizziness, because of course I went Googling and the words "ectopic pregnancy" kept coming up.
So just trying to reassure myself!

Nausea and dizziness is probably low iron as you have been bleeding so long. Is it heavy? Implanon does change your cycle and period.

Not really heavy at all, the first couple of days was just brown blood as well.
But i suppose low iron is very possible - have been dieting lately, and I guess I haven't had enough iron.
