Call them. They can tell you what you need and you can claim and upload online.

He seriously did you a favour. It is natural that you may grieve for the way your relationship once was but you and the kids deserve much better. Now you can sort things out and gain your independence back, get things in your own name and create a positive environment for your kids.

No RP needs to ring 136150...that's the families so she can put in her intention to claim single parent pension. Like another poster said they will pay from day u enquired. If u call on Monday they will record u contacted and u will have 14 days to do your claim/submit papers. I would do it asap because there is easter coming up and they will be closed 2 days.

    is that even legal!?

sorry but that sounds dangerous. as their parent it's your job to ensure they're safe and you know where they are at all times.

I'm scared if you hand them over you may never see them again! and a whole week!? that's enough time for him to disappear without a trace or leave the country!

you'd be very very foolish to agree to his plan.

Agreed. Do not let your kids go with their dad until you have something sorted with parenting plans. He's left, he has no right to them until you allow it, which I wouldn't do until you know where he is living. He has a right to privacy if he's in his own, but as soon as he takes his kids you MUST know where he is taking them. I think your next step should be to change the locks. I'm not liking the sound of where this is all going.

Be strong, you can do this! You dare by need him and you and your kids will be better off without him.
