My hubby has reported people via the EPA site a few times now. A woman who works for him got 2 fines in the mail on the same day. One for throwing her lit cigarette out the window and one for her passenger (who was her boyfriend) throwing a lit cigarette out as well. From memory the fines were around $600 each! Ouch. Hopefully lesson learnt.

    Default Should I report it?

This is not true. The EPA will follow it up if you provide enough info in Vic.

OP please report it. It's the cause of so many headaches for emergency services.

Edit: just read that the OP did report.

I have a friend who was also fined. They do follow through, my sister is an EPA officer but reports the ones she sees via the website like everyone else.

It's gross and lazy. I have no sympathy.
