This seems like a really lovely group of ladies! We are on cd 10, and hoping for EPU next week. Haven't been lucky enough to get any embryos from the first two stim cycles.. Hopefully this is the one! Looks like a few EPU's around the same time!

We had our EPU this morning! I had 6 follicles during scans but came out with 8 eggs collected so was really pleased. Had the scientist come in during recovery to let me know DH's swimmers were pretty average so they were going to do ICSI which wasn't the original plan but sounds like the best decision.

Anxiously waiting to hear fertilisation result tomorrow... fingers crossed!!!
Welcome. We are in a similar boat. I only have 1 working tube (the other is fully blocked) & DH swimmers don't ask for directions as I put it (his count came back with some below average results). We are currently day 7 of puregon shots and having another scan on Tuesday to see if we trigger or have to wait a few more days.

Welcome Hun. Yes the girls in here are lovely. I'm a newbie to IVF (first cycle) and they've been all lovely.

AFM: those who've done previous stim cycles. When was you first confirmation checking scan and what were the sizes of your follies?

@MaybeBabyIVF in my stim I had an ultrasound on CD9 with 2x20, and 1x 17,14,13,11,12,9,8mm follicles. I triggered CD 10 and got 8 eggs at EPU. Mine was a Flare cycle though so I think they're usually super fast.

Hi ladies! Wow so many familiar names here, not good news, but a little comforting.

I was on the oct/nov and Jan/feb threads, and now starting a new stim cycle #3. I spoke to my FS who doesn't think we should do anything different. I asked him a whole bunch of stuff that a lot of ladies with endo have done and he doesn't seem to think it's necessary for me (mind you he's an endo specialist and research professor). So I feel slightly comforted by that, but also a lil skeptical. He also said he was very surprised I actually made it as far as ET at all, and TWICE! Hmmm. Not sure what to make of that haha

Anyway, AF is due on the 11th for me so I'm looking forward to getting the ball rolling on this again.

Good luck to everyone. I hope this is a thread full of happy BFP's!!

Hi @Annerley, mine is also mystery, I have started my first ivf stim cycle on last year July, 11 eggs were picked up and 7 make it day 5 blastocyst ,my fresh transfer was negative but frozen transfer in August turn in ectopic left side, I was given 2 doses of methotrexate and my HCG level came down nicely but at level150 tube gets ruptured and I rushed to emergency With too much pain and had laparoscopy . Then I waited for three months and had FET in December which turn negative , January I had 2 FET which turn right side ectopic but I had experienced before so I decided for another laparoscopy instead methotrexate also I decide not to have tube for future transfer so I don't have to stress for ectopic.. But I m still stressing as I heard there is still chance for ectopic in scar tissue from laparoscopy, My body healed but not mind, still stressing for another ectopic in scar tissue ...I m going for my last 2 fet this time , fingers crossed..

@Clover30 yes it's definitely stressful. I was glad that I went it my scan knowing that something was wrong but it was still a shock to hear it was an ectopic. Especially when you can't muck around and have to go straight to hospital for treatment. Lovely to hear that you have so little one too though. @Prabhu wow that's a lot for you to go through, I can certainly understand your worry. I know once you've had one ectopic, you're at an increased risk of it happening again so I'm hoping that I can push for a really early scan for peace of mind to ensure the sac is in the right spot, if I get another bfp. I just wouldn't want to risk leaving it even if my levels were rising nicely. How far along were you when you found out about your second one? Did you get extra monitoring that time? I'm really shocked that your tube ruptured once your levels got down so low. Dr google had told me that could happen but once my levels were dropping, I really thought the risk was gone as the embryo should be shrinking and putting less pressure on the tube. I'm so glad I didn't know that it was a real possibility when my levels were still dropping. I'm so sorry to hear you had to go through all that and I hope it doesn't happen again.

    Default IVF/FET March-April 2016

@Annerley first time my level drop down from 3800 to 150 so I guess I m safe now but it also put me in shock when I heard my tube is rupture , dr told me its risk until it's zero. Second time I had transfer on Jan 6 but I didn't took long to know it's again because all symptoms and HCG was rising but didn't double, I had extra monitoring that time and scan early but in first scan they didn't found any thing any where, 3 days after I feel right side swollen and too much pain so again I rushed to emergency at midnight and on next day scan we found free fluid but couldn't found sac, they gave me option if I want to go for injection instead tube removel or I could wait until another scan for conform but really wanted to get rid off so same day on January 25th I went for laparoscopy and they conform that was ectopic on right side. I m sorry to hear about your ectopic it's more shocking and heart breaking when you happy that finally it's bfp and then you finds it ectopic. But hope all lovely ladies get their BFP this time..

    Default First IVF

Hello Everyone, thanks all for being so open and honest. It's somewhat comforting to know that I'm not alone.. I wish I had the guts to speak more publicly about our journey, I've written our story to date but just have no idea what to do with it.. Or if I want to do anything with it.. Anyway.. This is a little snapshot.
I'm 30 and my husband is 31 we've been trying to conceive for just over 3yrs. We have unexplained infertility. We've did three rounds of IUI last year and all were BFN's. We took a break and went on a Europen holiday (hoping the ol "Go on a holiday, it'll happen" saying would work, it didn't).
We are currently in the middle of our first IVF cycle. We had 9 eggs collected on Wednesday and have 3 fertilised that are going well and plan to do transfer on Monday. Just found out my brother and his wife are pregnant due in October (first grandchild) after trying for 3mths so that was a rough couple of days in the middle of injections..
Hoping and praying and have everything crossed for us all...

    Default IVF/FET March-April 2016

Lab report came in this morning ladies. Of the 8 eggs retrieved, 5 were mature and 4 fertilised so I'm chuffed with that... here's hoping they all progress nicely and if they do we're set for a Wednesday ET.
@Prabhu I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a tough time... one ectopic was bad enough so I can't imagine having to go through two. I'm concerned about the whole scar tissue scenario, I've got some major adhesions from my tube removal and my left ovary is now pretty much stuck to my pelvic wall which isn't awesome. I'll certainly be pushing for early scan to make sure everything is where it should be if we're lucky enough to get our bfp!
@CasD It's so difficult when those close to you fall so easily. But you've got 3 embies waiting so really hoping you get your bfp really soon. Good luck for Monday!

Sticky baby dust to us all!

Hi ladies, has anyone had Human Growth Hormone injections included in your treatment plan to improve embryo quality? If so, did it work for you? My FS has recommended this for my next cycle.
