Default Jeans. Let's talk about denim

My name is SPG and I am a jeansaholic.

Right, now that's out of the way, I am seeking opinions on jeans. I wear jeans a lot. As soon as the weather cools down enough I break them out.

I'm a size 18. The last few winters I have just worn cheap skinny-ish jeans from Kmart. I'm wondering if it is worth spending a bit more money to get a good pair. The thing that is holding me back if the reason that I throw most of my jeans - I wear through the fabric in the inner thigh. Will good quality jeans last longer than cheapies?

If you know of some good quality jeans in my size, I would love some recommendations.

I am a chronic jeans-wearer (as SOON as the weather is cool enough, if it's hot I wear denim shorts) and have bought all kinds of jeans. I always find the ones from Just Jeans or Jeanswest fit better than cheap department store ones, I generally buy the 2 for $109 type ones. They last much longer too.

I think with denim you definitely get what you pay for to a point. I'm a serious jeans girl and wear them year round - yup even in summer!

I've bought everything from $29 cotton on jeans to $400+ j brand jeans. I don't think you need to buy the MOST expensive brand. But there is definitely a mid point where you get a good balance of price and quality.

I used to buy my "abundant thigh" jeans from City Chic.
Their jeans are awesome, so comfy and for someone who wears them all day everyday they lasted well.
I did get the inner thigh rub hole eventually too with most of them but it did a long while.
They range between $80-120 I think. Well worth the money.
I've lost a lot o weight recently and no longer fit in CC jeans which makes me a bit sad 😞.
I hope I can find another brand I like as much.
