    Michaela is the correct way. I can't stand other butchered ways of spelling it.

    I've seen it spelt Michaela, Mikayla, McKayla and Micaela (previous child care worker 😉)

    I like Mikayla best.

    I think she means the original spelling of the name appears to be Michaela as the female version of Michael
