Default Parents- what did you think you'd never do?

I would never feed DS2 a store bought sausage roll or chicken nugget. Now I'm at the point where as long as he eats something, ANYTHING I am grateful.

Zero screen time before 2 and limited after that pfft that went out the window when I spent the first 2.5 years a sleep deprived zombie.

No sugar well that went out the window too.

Feed my child chicken nuggets on the regular. I was so opposed to them.

I'm also a much less 'strict' parent than I envisaged. I thought I'd be super hardball.

I never thought I'd let my child roll around on the ground in public places. He has now rolled in around in department stores, airports, change rooms and most other public places.

I thought he'd only eat healthy food because I'd just offer him nothing else so he wouldn't know the difference (that old chestnut).

I am the now the parent of a naked kid. She is always nude- even in winter. Answers the door nude. Runs around in the backyard nude. Sleeps nude (apart from a nappy). I put clothes on to leave the house but that's about it lol.

Me too. I never had a set time to stop but assumed I would stop when she was no longer a baby. She wouldn't let me though!

    I'm guilty of the following

    - kids watching peppa pig on my phone
    - using food as bribery. My kids adore frozen beans/peas.

Have a child in full melt down in the supermarket. (Why don't mothers control their kids? lol I had no freakn idea )

Bottle feed. Breast feeding is natural so it should just come naturally right (big fat fail in that logic).

Bribery - usually with chocolate as that is an actual currency in this house

Co-sleep. Once DD was born I couldn't resist the urge to have her near me all the time.

Food before checking out. We cannot get passed the fruit and vege without giving her something (generally a cherry tomato or strawberry from the punnet).

Dirty clothes. I wasn't going to let DD look grubby and I definitely wasn't going to have toddler stains on my clothes. Ha! I always wear black and I am lucky if DD wears anything at all.
