Default Changes to the FTB supplements???

I recently heard that the FTB part A supplements will be fazed out by 2018.

No longer will we receive $720 per child as previous years. This year we will get $600 per child. 2017 will be $300 per child.

Can anyone clarify if this is true?

I don't know, but if it true I am stuffed. My budget is so tight, I depend on the bonuses to pay for Christmas and back to school expenses.

Not the school kids bonus, that's been axed now as far as I know.

But for the supps, well nothing would surprise me although I really don't know the answer to that.

Doh. I said bonuses, but meant the FTB supps that are paid when tax returns are lodged.

So at this stage the FTB supplement is still $720 UNLESS it goes through?

Currently yes, there are no changes for the next financial year. Any changes would be on the centrelink website - and there is nothing.

This has been in for a few years. They dropped the vaccination payment (I can't remember what it was called) and made it to be part of your eligibility for the supps.
