    Default Perth hospital and obstetrician

    Hi all.

Have just found out I am pregnant with #2. I'd like to book an obstetrician ASAP and currently looking at SJOG Subiaco or Mt Lawley.

Does anyone have any reviews and recommendations for obstetricians for either hospital?

First bub was via c-sec due to positioning, so I need a doc who will perform a c-sec if need be.

    Thanks in advance!

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I delivered at Mercy just before it became SJOG Mt Lawley and was very happy with the experience. I am booked in to have DS2 there in a couple of months so it will be interesting to see if much has changed.

I am under the care of Bruce Thyer, who also delivered DS1. He is a lovely man but is not very forthcoming so if you are the type of person who likes to be given a lot of information he might not be for you.

I had a vaginal delivery first time around but I know that he is open to c-sections when appropriate. He did an emergency c-section for my friend and she can't speak highly enough of his care. She is currently seeing him for bub number 3.

I had DS1 and DS2 at SJOG Subi, using Dr Richard Murphy. He was fantastic- both good at what he does and lovely and personable. His receptionist and midwife are also awesome to deal with.

My deliveries were both vaginal, but a friend who saw him for her DS2 said Richard did a stellar job with her Caesarian.

I went to SJOG Subi and had Adam Gubbay.

    He was great.

Loved the middies there as well, wonderful care and lots of help after Bub was born.

    Good luck!

I'm going to St. John of God mt lawly with dr Ann Lewis. I heard great reviews about her and she's been lovely so far. I'm very happy with my choice so far 😊😊
