Great news tanej78! When is next scan? Get comfortable cos you are now on countdown for 9 months before you get to meet your precious new addition

@bbhope - I bought mine from babies r us but you can get it from baby bunting or adairs.

Ds wouldn't feed or sleep as Childcare and couldn't stop smiling when he saw me. Much different to when he was 4 months old. Def recognises things now. Hopefully he'll get used to it. One day a week is heard tho. Not enough time in there.

@Tanej78: good news! Well, i should have written things down! If i remember correctly, around 12w for progesterone. I was told to finish it off before 16w. Somethng to do with interfering with placenta function. As for pred, i think 20w? I also stopped clexane at 20w and used aspirin until 36w.
@Gelati: DS was smiling happily when i picked him up in the past. He didn't become too excited, just smile at the last two pick up. Just too busy playing! Perhaps upset with me when i refused to take him again after handling over to the carer at drop off. LOL. He was all over DH when he picked him up the first day at the new centre, though. He is settling very well there from what i heard.

@bbhope Lb wanted me to start weaning from pred her dosage 10mg now... I said I was hesitant as this was our goal post I now haven't reached further than this point and don't want to start reducing too early... So she said reduce to 5mg

Except I'm taking Dr M dosage 25mg... So I've chatted to his receptionist today emailed my HCG and prog results and will prob wait for a new phone consult see what he says...

The rest clexane, crinone and prog pessaries I'm on til 12weeks
@Gelati because LB saw I was still nervous but happy we are doing another scan in 2 weeks when I get back from QLD which I'm stoked won't have to wait 3 weeks haha

@Tanej78: i certainly didn't wean off pred so early! You know what? I might have a record because i was following bondi protocol, which is written on a sheet of paper. I can try to look for it tonight. DrM protocol is like drawing a number out of the hat. Yes, DrM uses 25mg. I was happy fine with 20mg. I couldn't imagine going higher given that i got all the side effects. My OB was shocked to know how high the dosage I was taking! You do know the risk with pred, right? It is benefit outweigh the risk.

@bbhope that's so great ds likes the new Childcare. Is it better than the other one he was in? Is he sleeping and eating well there? This centre seems a lot better than the last one. At the very least they use gloves when preparing their bottles. They just seem a lot more on top of things.

@Tanej78 that's good. The wait between scans sux. Does your ob do scans as well?
Completely understand about reservation of reducing meds. I would be too. Good that you've got two specialists to consult.

@Gelati DD will take about 5-10 mins to feed solid. It really depends if she likes the food or not. If she doesn't like it, it will only take 3 mins even lol. When we go out she stays awake for 3 hours sometimes. Otherwise I just keep trying until she sleeps in the pram so we don't have to rush home. The day flies with feeding bottle and solid.
@bbhope that's a great idea re heatermate. I will look into it. I don't have heater running overnight in my room. Hubby doesn't get cold easily. I do. But I just layer up. I don't like heater or air con overnight. Do you think humidifier is an overkill then? I could still return it I think.

@Tanej78: there are few other risks but I won't worry about it right now! Just concentrate on this preg!
@Minib: with heatermate, the heater rarely on. I only saw it on early morning just before we wake up for a min or so. When DS has the cold, the vaporiser helps. DH doesn't think it makes a difference but it clears my nose up in the shower so I assume it helps DS breathes.

Oh...we now know how to get DS to drink water. Basically, we just pretend we drink it from his sippy cup. Lol. Gosh I wish we know earlier! No wonder people say monkey sees, monkey do. CC is probably good for this purpose. We tried the same trick when he didn't like the food. Hahaha. So funny to watch.

@galati: RE childcare. The previous centre is pretty good. Non-profit. We wouldn't have mind keeping him there if we didn't get into the new centre. It was a back up plan but overall i was happy with it in the end (minus the nap part). They just purchased a new set of toys. Every baby has a journey book showing what they do at the centre. The carers were lovely. DS was content whenever i picked him up. I haven't investigated why DS couldn't sleep long there. I know that they have a separated room but perhaps too bright or not enough cot.

DH figures it would be best if it is closer to work (just two blocks away). DS sleeps better at the new centre. Other than one 30 mins nap.. Other naps were longer than 1 hr. I suspect that's because they have two smaller cot rooms and darker. The only problem is the long commute. He just gets bored easily. I am like a crazy mother trying to entertain him the entire journey. I do have a small problem with the current centre. The two carers for DS room don't come in before 9am. I always have to drop him off to the other room (also 0--12 months) when the carer was busy setting morning tea up for many other babies. The other carer was in the kitchen bringing in the food. I had to wait a bit to pass DS over.

DS separation anxiety is very obvious now. We can't leave the room for a minute even at home. I'm not sure how this impacts sleep. He refused to sleep in his cot but on us again during the day.

Speaking of illness. I cannot believe what we get in the mail today! A letter from the hospital telling us about DS chest x ray result and wants us to follow up with the GP! that's like 2 weeks ago. He apparently has bronchitis. Seriously?!?? The Dr there sent him for x-ray because she just wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything. As she phrased it, "better be safe than sorry". We were dismissed so i thought he was cleared. I am totally not happy with the service. I thought we can't trust GP. Now, we can't trust the dr at the hospital too!
