@tuxcat, my leading follies-group seemed to always match my eggs at day5. eg if there were 1-2 leading follies and maybe 1-2 next group size, then some smaller ones, it only seemed to be the leading group that went through. my best cycles would have been first (for % wise success) and last 2 (for #embryos). I suspect the ones in between this were affected by my appendix (ie 2 leading up to it). my last 2 cycles a few months after the recovery were better in terms of #embryos/follies. cycle 4 was cancelled (but I still count it as a cycle - it was to be a fet) (ie 6 transfers (5fresh+1fet/7cycles)

That's right, I took up @BIB's offer of the Gastro Diet, and might I say what a fun time it's been

@Summer, your stick pic was quite the surprise, and I'm sorry version 2.0 was not as good as it's predecessor. I am hoping with afternoon urine you might get a better result. I was super happy to see your Family Report come back favorably for you too. I am not surprised it was a fair evaluation - these people do millions of reports and would be well used to seeing and hearing all kinds of stuff. They are quite good at sorting out the valuable information from the crap! Your report sounds similar to my DH's - his said something along the lines of DH and I presenting well and speaking in a calm, efficient manner, whilst his ex was described as "not coping, and at times irrational and hysterical." At the end of the day that has no bearing on the time that will be allocated by the court's though - it isn't about how his ex feels about it all, it's about what's best for DSS

@JulieMalooley and @Bongley - I can't believe you two are 24 and 12 weeks respectively. The time is flying by!

@Caesardust, I'm stoked that your FS is being so supportive. And the promise of lower fees must be an attractive prospect. You mentioned 450iui of meds is on offer. Will that be Gonal-F or something else? I have decided not to PGD test my final embies. My reasoning might sound mad but I would rather transfer those embies and let nature take it's course, as opposed to PGD'ing them with the potential that none will be fit for transfer. I know it would cost us money to put back embies which may have no hope, but I want to have one final try, if that makes sense.

@Gagingi, I'm so sorry that 5 of your 6 embies didn't make it hon. But I have great hopes for that last little battler in the freezer. Maybe he is the lucky one. I will have everything crossed for you when it comes time to transfer.

@Infinity, I was so happy to read that your appointment with Wazza went so well, and that it seems to have inspired you to move forward with your journey. From memory 5-10% was the rate I was given too, but I always looked at it as "If someone told me I had a 5-10% chance of stepping in front of a bus tomorrow, it would be enough of a concern to make me look both ways when crossing the road!" If I had the money, I'd go with DE for a 60% success rate no questions asked. That's me though - it's an entirely personal decision and you have to do what's right for you.

AFM, no AF yet, so she better get a wriggle on. She has to come by Sunday evening for me to be able to start injecting.

Also, a question for the group re Gonal-F doses. I've heard of some people being offered 400iu and their FS won't go any higher. Then others seem to get 600iu. Any ideas on why FS's are hesitant to prescribe the higher doses? I am going to check my supplies and bump my dosage from 400iu to 450iu for my next attempt, but just curious....
Hi @Blossom74 I've only ever had puregon so I'm not sure if the dosage is for that or gonal f at this stage. I assume it would be puregon again. What's the difference? Should I ask for gonalf?

@Bongley Was it you who said you'd been on Diabex/Metformin and it took you a little while to feel ok on it? When does it get better?!
The first day or two it was horrible runs with painful tummy cramps (thankfully @Chiefsgirl had warned me about that bit), then the next two days I couldn't even stand the smell of tap water to take my medication. I just kept dry-retching. And now there's still big issues around eating any food. I'm guessing this is where the possible weight loss could come in.
But I'm just zonked out. So ridiculously tired and not sort of engaged. I'm trying to keep life as simple as possible so I can just get through. Usually I'm a lot crabbier/short tempered on Syranel but it's like I've been sedated. I'm on so many meds this cycle I feel...weird, floaty, can't take in many details.
I started Dex yesterday, a few days early, to try and help with my asthma (a hang-over from my 'hit by a truck' virus that's settled in my chest).
I've cancelled my w.end away and have hired four Call The Midwife dvds from the library. That's about all I can handle...and broth soup.
    I'm a calm zombie.
PS: Huge apologies that I haven't kept up with every-one this week. Hopefully the above explains why. Sorry and hi!

@Blossom74 oh no feel better soon. Fx you make a speedy recovery. I appreciate your 5-10% analogy. Im always a glass half full person anyway

Afm dh and i decided today we will do 2 more cycles at cheap clinic with the helping hand of the wazza specials. I will have been on meds for 10wks with 1st cycle and probably 14wks 2nd cycle so definitely should make a difference if its going to. Wazza wants to do a scratch and flush first. He said either in his rooms or book hysteroscopy? Eeek please help @BlondeinBrisvegas does it hurt with no GA. Its a cost thing to. In his rooms about 500 if i have hysteroscopy its 1300 oop. Not sure what to do. I do epu with no ga just valium and endone. What do you think?

@Tahli what dose are you on?? Have they told you to increase it slowly?
I've had the runs and the occasional vomiting but always when I took two tablets too close together. Nothing near as bad as you are describing. The weight loss has happened from it knocking the edge off my appetite, not making me vomit at the smell of tap water! Ah dear you poor thing it sounds awful

I was advised 500mg (1 tablet) for one week, increasing the dose by one tablet every 7 days up to 1500 (3 tabs) a day.

Oh and nothing like feeling zonked out and sedated, nothing like that at all.

Thanks @Bongley. I'm only on 1 x 1000mg Metformin XR tablet per day. So just started straight on that dose. Was your vomiting just at the start? Hopefully next week will be better.
PS: I've just noticed your edit. Starting on 500mg for a week sounds like a much kinder way to get used to this powerful drug.

@Tahli no it wasn't at the beginning, it was over christmas when I forgot to take my dose consistently and on an empty stomach. I've thrown up maybe three times since I've taken it over a few years now. Getting the squits was my issue Have you spoken to your doc? Maybe you should take half a tab until you get used to it, I don't think you should be feeling that bad. Imagine how you'll be on double or triple the dose

Edit:- Oh just read your dose is 1000, yeah I started on 500, definitely snap it in half or something. Yipes.

This afternoon is pretty much the same as yesterday, barely there squinter or evap line... I've got myself into it now, the only way out is to keep POAS twice a day for the next week.. Damn it!

@Bongley I didn't think to speak to Dr M. I just thought it was part and parcel of taking it. I can see why it's used for weight loss! Ok, so definitely keep consistently taking it. Thankfully he's only suggested the 1000mg and no more. Do you know what it's meant to help with?
