@JulieMalooley I went through this about 5 years ago with my labrador. I did everything I could not to have her put down. CT scans, experimental treatment (that was when stem cell was being trialled to regenerate nerves), weekly accupuncture, pain killers. Nothing worked. I was exhausted and broke when I admitted defeat. Still felt bloody awful taking her to the vets for the last time. Is DP going with you? Some things are too tough to face alone. xx

@JulieMalooley what a terrible time you have in front of you today. Its so difficult to lose a family member im sending you lots of cosmic hugs. Just remember your friend has had an amazing doggy life with you and not many get that sort of life so enjoy your last moments and celebrate your memories together.

@Bongley i hope you are having success with your passport. Thinking of you and your family

Yep @winsor and @infinity888 my cd21 lining scan is tomorrow at 8.45am then 200mls of intralipids at 9am.
Fingers crossed my lining has held steady at 7.5mm and hasn't started to compact. I've never had a 2nd lining scan in a cycle before so it'll be an interesting experiment. I've always held the fear that my lining slips back below 6mm in those 5 days pre transfer, when I start on the Progesterone, so tomorrow I'll finally have that fear validated or not.
Doing the extra 1.5 weeks lead up to transfer this cycle is proving really wearing. I'm now exhausted, short tempered (Synarel) and dread doing my meds 3 times a day (hate the taste of it all).
Dr M suggested 400mls of intralipids so doing the 200mls is the only medical recommendation I'm not following through with this time. If Monash offered 400mls I would have done it.
Buuut I feel really positive about the impending transfer itself. Oddly.

@Tahli & @infinity888 thanks gals, just found out this morning the service is happening in two weeks so I'll have plenty of time now. Also there are direct flights to vancouver which I didn't realise, 14hrs flying is a LOT better than 24hrs. Bring on the compression stockings.

I'm glad the pressure has eased off @Bongley. And 14 hrs is much more manageable, esp if your DS is going with you.

Yes DP is coming with me - because I am MAKING him. She's always been my dog as we've only been together for 3.5 years and I've had her for over 14 so I'm not sure why he can't just agree that enough is enough. It's not like he's attached to her much I don't think - he's never really been an animal person. It's him that is not intentionally making me feel so goddamn guilty. I put down my other dog about 3 years ago when she injured her back - at the time it was going to be a starting price of around $5000 just for investigation and minimum treatment which 'may' have helped and I had to put the IVF before her at the time, so made the tough decision. This time I am putting the babies before the dog. I can't have her in the house like that when bubs come along - it's just too unhygenic. Yes, she could have some kind of very average life for god knows how much longer, but really, she is not happy and must be so uncomfortable. When she walks her tail is tucked so far between her legs that it touches her belly. You can't tell me that's not excruciating pain.

Anyway, I've really got the miseries today because I am sad, tired, sore back, indigestion, uncomfortable, over worked and feeling like we will be poor for ever more after ivf and now with twins on the way. Regardless, here's something to inspire you all (LOL) a very unflattering photo of me on the weekend at 25 weeks in my sexy maternity swimmers...

good luck tomorrow @Tahli. I'm hoping your lining has increased since last week not decreased.

@winsor I am crossing everything for you. A rising HCG sounds good to me.
My doc wouldn't do more bloods on me after my initial test (I was quite put out at the time). Said they were not the be all and end all and just caused more stress. Because of that I booked my scan in as early as possible (6 weeks on the dot) but as one of mine was a late implanter they couldn't tell what the heart rate was. Yep, the stress never ends. I will be thinking of you and stalking for news next week. xx
