I usually catch up while I'm on breaks at work or working from home but have been so ridiculously busy at work I just haven't been able. Anyway, got my diabetes test today then taking my old dog to the vet to be euthenased this afternoon. I just feel so guilty. She has 'some' happy moments but is mainly in a lot of back and knee pain and being an inside dog who is now reliably incontinent due to the medication I just don't want to deal with it anymore. It sounds terrible I know but DP won't even commit to being the one who cleans up the accidents from now on even though he's telling me she can go on for a bit longer. 'Ok we will leave her go if you clean the floors from now on?' Him: beat around the bush and doesn't even give a straight answer. How frucken hard is it to spray and wipe !?? I can't even bend down for frucks sake ! Anyway, as hard as it is, I've reached the point of no return 😔
    Such a hard decision to make, but totally understandable. Hope your GD test comes back fine. And I hear you about the bending over. The housework nearly killed me this week, my back gets so sore from leaning/bending over

I was expecting it to be higher by now. seems ok if I count the 3-4 days increase (ie slowest limit, 3 up to 1000, 4 above) but not if it's the 2-3. I'm dreading a blighted ovum. today the tiredness kicked back in and frequent hunger. so I have no idea what's going on. just praying it's all ok. there's not a lot I can do apart from increase my progesterone afaik & keep looking after myself
    I've got everything crossed for you Winsor. Keep using your pessaries, I have had low progesterone the whole way through, and at nearly 32 weeks am still on 1 a day. My body just never kicked in making it as it should of.

    @JulieMalooley Oh Luv....😦 (((hugs))) It's such a difficult & heartbreaking decision to make😢

    When her pain, incontinence, ability to get around etc is affecting her quality of life to the point it's outweighing the benefits of giving her more time to be with you & DP then you know that choosing to send her over the Rainbow Bridge now is the kindest, most loving & selfless thing you can do.

    The alternative of giving her more time will only result in her pain, incontinence etc becoming worse as the weeks go by especially with winter coming up. I understand the feelings of guilt, but try not to feel that way as this is an act of love & selflessness that you're doing with her best interests at heart.

    I also believe that our furbabies understand why. Make her last day special...give her a favourite treat, lots of cuddles & a few special photo's & make sure you hold her in her final moments & tell her how much you love her & how blessed your life was to have her in it.

    Tell her not to be afraid & to run to the light & not look back & that you will see her again & be with her again forever on the other side one day in the future.

    Will send a prayer to the Universe for her Luvxoxo

    P.S....Good luck with your GD test too.

    All the best for today Blossom. Hope you get at least 3 eggs and you recover well from the anaesthetic.

    Winsor sending positive thoughts your way for a perfect scan on Monday.

    Juliemalooley, sorry to hear about your dog. It is a tough decision but one that is always done with love and kindness.

    It doesn't feel like that right now guys. I feel like I'm being completely selfish. Appt is made. 4.20 qld time so that was the first hurdle.

    Good luck @winsor and @Blossom74

    @JulieMalooley She's old, she's incontinent and she's in pain. Really, don't feel guilty. In fact come around to my place when I get like that and take me off to the vets for an injection.

    @JulieMalooley My thoughts are with you and your doggie today. What an incredibly tough day for you. Massive hugs, . (It'll be interesting for dh once you have two poppets weeing on everything in site...and occasionally pooing too!)
    @Bongley I hope your passport arrangements are coming together. You must be really stressed. I hope dh is looking after you and bubs.
    From @Blossom74 at 7.30am this morning "I can feel all you girls cheering me on" so all our good wishes and positive vybes must be making their way to her.
