    Yes! Where is @Blossom74? She can usually hear a FRER packet being opened no matter where she is or what time of the day!

    @tuxcat sorry for the late reply my internet is up the bugger at the moment. So do RPA do PGD testing? Is that the testing the nurse meant? Why would they insist on that? I'm a little confused, ha. Or are they talking about something to do with the quarantine period?

    With my donor cycle at Genea they took cells from the hatching blastocysts on day 5 and (for the two that weren't hatching yet) day 6 and froze them. Then the results took 3 weeks to come back. Meanwhile they prepared me for the FET and transferred as though they were day 5 blastocysts. Does that help?

    It was all much more expensive than I thought it would be going through Genea but we did do PGD testing, the donor counseling, extra blood tests for her and the immune protocol for me too. Plus we had to go through 3 FETs that are weirdly expensive (about 2.5k each I think, don't quote me on that!). Set us back 20K all up I think. I would have preferred waiting the 4 months quarantine and saved us enough money for a trip (or two!) to the UK but then I don't believe RPA do the immune treatment which may have got us over the line.
    no worries @Bongley! No it was Dr Dez saying that at RPA they do a freeze all on the donor and then a FET the month after for me and with Genea they pair our cycles up with me on a medicated FET cycle and then transfer the fresh embie. Im just confused as to how/when they would do testing on it tho if we are paired and Im getting the fresh embie. No RPA don't do testing. TBH I don't really care about testing if the donor is young enough and 20k scares me!!! I was thinking 10. I also wondered whether we could put the donor through Genea and then transfer the embies to RPA for my FETs. But I know they will probably see that as cheating the system, like how they don't like you going and seeing any of the FS from there privately. I would be comfortable doing that though as my one reason for thinking about private aside from the quarantine is the hassle of clinic appointments and the waiting around for the donor, as its just a hassle to put someone else through (yesterday I waited an hour for my appointment). I guess I can ask her all the questions as we cant afford 20k. She told me about getting altruistic eggs from the US was another way and thats 20k and she said her success rate with them so far (out of 5 patients) is 100%. I was like yeah well its ME your talking about, Im sure to break your record!!!

    So how much was the PGD alone (if you can remember)? Im just wondering if we take that off then how much does it save you. And you're saying that it was 20k including 3 FETs. In my daydreaming head Im getting a BFFFFFFP first go FFS

    yah..

    @Gagingini yes i was overwhelmed yesterday. But so so greatfull. My dh is now completely different. He is go go go. Before it was sure if you want to.

    @BlondeinBrisvegas thanks for the links. Do they cause weight gain or is that just the pred. Wazza said stick with tfc 450 instead of his 600 fsh but he will do all my immune stuff. The scratch and flush etc. Plus dhea and hgh. He is so generous. He did say if i have no luck after x2 more with tfc to come back and see him.

    @winsor how are you going?

    @Summer c'mon embie stick stick stick

    @Blossom74 wake up wake up

    Good morning everyone else

    @infinity888 so glad you had a good appointment with Wazza and your DH is champing at the bit. fingers crossed for you!

    symptoms? still dizziness now & then though it's not as strong as the first week. apart from the other night when I had 2 apricots and my head was swimming in large circles. weird - it didn't do it the next night when I had 2 more. hot belly, so trying to keep cool. get really tired by afternoon - have a nap then really tired again in evening (when before a nap meant I was up till 2-3am). b00bs feel like someone's pinching them from the inside now & then. this seems to be getting more each day. hungry every couple of hours so snacking throughout the day to try stop this. achy/pulls in my tummy - usually left side but sometimes right and middle.

    @winsor that sounds like plenty of symptoms to me. How exciting. When is your scan?

    @Charlie74 wazza is amazeballs haha he really is genuine. I completely understand why he is extremely busy. He was honest caring and finally someone who didn't just say your 38 you will be ok. In fact he said the opposite. Also tmi but i started my period when i was 9yo so i have a triple whammy he said. Anyway he said it could happen in 1 cycle or 10 no guarantees so stay with cheap clinic but he will help and guide and prescribe etc. We are super excited to say the least.

    Sounds like you're moving forward with some good steps @tuxcat and @Charlie74 it sounds like you've thought through your plan really well - that all looks good! @infinity888 that is fantastic that you've had a good experience with Wazza and that hubby is on board :-)

    I'll post a stick pic this afternoon if there is anything resembling a squinter. If not we'll put it down to "Summer getting excited over an evap line, yet again "

    We just got good news back from the Family Report that we were interviewed for the other week - it was a really balanced and fair report and the recommendation was for DSS to spend "at least" 5 nights per week with us. Phew! So the reason the mother got WAY more time with the report writer was because she was "emotional and anxious" and couldn't summarise what her issues were with DSS spending more time with us; whereas DH was "direct and expressive", so got his points across quickly and easily. So I was worried for nothing, he did a really good job! Now we see if it still goes to court or if she agrees to negotiate out of court. I can breathe now...

    @infinity888 You are right, I am 38 (for 1 more week) and my FS said "you shouldn't have any problem". She said that to us and you NEVER say stuff like that to a male. They take it literally and then so confused when we failed. You sound so positive and that makes your future ttc exciting!

    @Summer great news. Fx for a quick and harmonious solution. Then its baby time.

    @Billie2 exactly. I'm positive in that my 5 to 10% chance is honest and what ive been thinking all along anyway. If there is any good eggs left in me ill find them. Its just that it could take another 1 or 10 cycles. Thats the tough part. Wazza said if i can get him a good embie all the immune stuff should be my missing link to making it stick. Fx he is right. I was so stressed financially that when he said ill support you to stay at low cost clinic i almost cried. He is a great man.
