It was lovely to read @Summer that the things are looking up for your DH and DSS xxxx. The fact that you get along with DSS is fantastic. I'm from a blended family too and know what it's like to have a step mum and step dad. It makes like easier for all when you get along.
    hope I haven't over stepped....

I haven't posted much in the last week...
I'm taking each day as it comes.
I've been at work since Tuesday. I need to keep busy.
DH has been awesome. Not pushing anything, just being there
I've used up all my sick leave.... It's suprising how much I've used for iVF. Transfers, EPU I took this last 2WW off too as I wanted to be stress free and give it my all, and then last week. It all adds up
So I'm looking at annual leave now and LSL. I can take it at half pay but double the time... So I'm looking at taking the next FET off from the start and having six or eight weeks off but only getting paid for half of it... It will be hard financially but I'm hoping it will help emotionally.
DH has just graduated from uni (yay) and is looking for employment so I'm hoping something will come up soon. Well praying. Every bit will help
When I'm stressed I like to buy things... This has been the hardest thing to stop this week. I work in retail so it's very hard. Lol.

    Ok I'm babbling now
I just wanted to pop in and say hi and let you all know I'm loving reading all your news and still here

Ok, the Queen of Evap Lines is back and I have another barely there squinter this morning. Same as the other day really. I think I often get excited because each pregnancy started this way, a barely there line that then got progressively darker. I know it's still way too early to even be testing (10dpo) and at this very early stage dilution would play a big part, but I think I am getting evap lines. Are they common on FRER's? Anyway, not sure if you can see anything in the photo, but there is something there IRL.

Of course you haven't overstepped hon! We are a great little blended family and DSS and I get on really well. He's a great kid and there's always a lot of love and laughter in our household. I think once we have the new routine in place everything will be settled and we'll just get on with it. I'm really conscious of how difficult it can be in blended families and I when I met DH I knew he was a package deal, and that DSS didn't choose to have his parents split up, so I just knew I had to do my best by him and create a safe and stable home for him where he is loved. So far, so good

@Summer, I can see the line

I gotta say, I've done a lot of FRER's and have never had an evap line myself. I've heard of them, but never seen one. I've always either had a stark white negative or a clear BFP. Even when I did my first test at 6dp5dt I had a line - it wasn't pink but it was a definite line. DH couldn't see it but I could, and took great delight in telling him I was UTD, which of course he didn't believe

Maybe others have seen the evaps though? Maybe certain people get them and others don't based on differing hormones/genetics etc?

@Precious40, that is where I am lucky. I work predominantly from home, and my 'in office' days are flexible. I only really missed work when I had my D&C. I can't imagine how hard it must be to juggle IVF with FT work. No wonder you're exhausted! I hope you do get to enjoy a nice break soon

AFM...A bit of an interesting story to tell.

Last night I was on FB and a girl I was really good friends with five or six years ago PM'd me. We became friends on FB only a little while ago, and up until last night had not really chatted much.

Anyway, she is younger than me (maybe 30-ish) but couldn't conceive so turned to IVF for help. She was a poor responder, but eventually got 2 PGD tested embies into the freezer and a third one produced her daughter who is now 6 months old.

She did not know I was IVF'ing and asked a few general questions which led me to reveal that I was doing it, and had MC'd in October. She was very shocked and having experienced MC herself she was very supportive. She was saying how "These things never go away but you do learn to live with them, and that every May 24th she thinks of the baby she lost."

    I was like....WTF?!

I was due on May 24th!

How's that for a coincidence? We have both decided that was A SIGN from our babies that we were meant to reconnect.

Wowee @Blossom74 that is an amazing coincidence! Yep, you guys were definitely meant to reconnect. Knowing someone who has been through the same as you is very reassuring too. I've found that my friends who haven't had a miscarriage just dismiss it as if it was nothing and it's hard to not have your heart-breaking losses acknowledged. Even though it's a club none of us want to belong to, it does help to have friends who understand.
