    Default IVF over 40 #27

    @Charlie74 that % is encouraging. We sort of had 6, as we had 4 then 2 slow starters - so maybe that equals 5...

    I'll ask a friend who is pregnant after many IVF attempts who her acupuncturist is and I'll check with Wazza - I think whilst he doesn't believe in it there is somebody he works with if patients want it. I don't want to be doing a runaround with ET though - I'd rather have a relaxing day with DH...

    Do you think it helped your lining?

    @BlondeinBrisvegas I remember going through this exact same scenario in December, the line was better than this one and it ended up a chem - it could be an evap line or something. I'm likely fooling myself again, so don't be surprised if I come back tomorrow with a total BFN. We'll see. I have two sticks left at the moment, so I'll do one in the morning and see if I get another squinter!

    @Summer I highly suggest you rush out to Spotlight post haste, buy a hot glue gun, carefully place it up your VJayJay and get that embryo to stick!!!

    @greenlady I was surprised they'd bank a CC... Whilst it is good to have a normal frozen our better normal didn't take and the current normal frostie is a cavitating morula, so I think Wazza is worried it might not continue to grow. I had had a tough EPU before the normal blast was transferred last time though. Mmmm.. Who knows?! I also worry that we also have mitochondrial issues which is why our embies are so poor on day 5.

    I think what is on your side, if you keep going, is that your embies seem to get good grades - so when you get a normal, it should do well. Plus you've had a successful pregnancy before.

    Bahahahahaha!!! I need to do something! I quickly made sure I took my aspirin and more folate just in case... The line is barely there so I'm jumping the gun as per usual.

    @tuxcat good luck with your cycle. We've done better with higher doses too. FS#1 would never go over 300 and the most we ever got was a dodgy day 3. FS#2 does 600 for me and that seems better, although I suspect I might do better without down-regging.

    Issue with donor for us is that I would be happy with donor embryo, but not egg. DH won't consider embryo, but is okay with DE. With my family history, if DH had a biological link and I didn't, I'd feel like a third wheel. Plus I know I'll be the primary carer and will be the one making all the sacrifices. I was also ready for kids 10 years ago, but DH wanted to wait for the perfect time, which I always knew wasn't going to come. So there are some relationship issues I can ignore if we can conceive our own biological child, but I'm not sure how I'll be if we cannot. I do have a wonderful therapist, but she is concerned about toll IVF is taking. If I go to FS appointment by myself I might explain my thinking as FS is a good listener and very empathic, so that might get us on the same page.
