Set ur phone to private and call. That way she won't see ur number and maybe she'll answer 😉

Then give her till tonight as the RSVP has passed and you'd hate for her kids to miss out.

Oh see I don't think you are Scot free. You needed a firmer deadline.

That being said I'd reply tomorrow morning and say 'sorry X can't make it to the party on Saturday. I've confirmed the numbers with the centre now. Hope to see you around'.

Just to make it clear there can't be any random turning up.

I agree. You need to be firmer. Something like "sorry but if I don't hear back by xxxx I will be inviting someone else as I need confirmation of numbers". It will avoid dramas if she decides to show.

Too bad if it seems rude, sounds like there won't be much of a loss of friendship anyway.....Personally I think she is the one being rude.

    What's not firm about "today"?

Geez you've given her more chances than me.

I'd send the final 'sorry you guys can't make it, I've given the centre the final numbers now' text too...that way it's obvious she can't just turn up on the day.

Send one more saying you have to know by 10pm or you can only assume he's not coming and you will need to invite another child to ensure the numbers and your place.

By the way, I've been dropped by a mum over the summer too, must have been something in the air!

You know what, because I am a great big pansy and can't be bothered giving this person any ammo against me, I am going with this option. I'm not even going to ask her again. I will tell the arcade 6 kids and then pay extra for my DD to have a couple of games if they do turn up. Yassss! Non confrontational solution for the win!

Let's all remember I have to stand next to this woman at drop off and pick up for the rest of the year, lol. Our kids are in the same class. Hence the pansy option.

Haha because FL said 'if you could let me know that would be great'.

Not 'I need to give final
    Numbers to the centre today'.

If you don't hear from her tonight, offer the spot to someone else. I think your last message was final enough, and you've given them lots of chances to respond.

Non RSVPers Sh!t me. We had to reschedule DS's party last year. 3 people hadn't RSVP'd, so I sent home a new invite explaining (as I didn't have their number to call like I did with the other parents) and they still didn't respond! So they are on my "don't bother to invite" list for this year.

This year I've decided I'm not chasing. I've had to do it for every party/event, even my own wedding! and I'm sick of it! No RSVP = no catering or party bag if they do rock up on the day.
