    Default Baby shower gift ideas

I'm travelling interstate in a couple of weeks for one of my closest friends baby shower. It's her second bub and I'm stuck for a gift idea. I'm looking for something a bit different from clothes as I know she'll get loads of those. I am also on a reasonably tight budget as flights etc already cost a bit.
    Any ideas oh brilliant hubbers?
Any gifts you got at your own shower that you loved?

What about some things for her to pack in her hospital bag?
A dressing gown or pyjamas, bodywash, lotion, a good drink bottle...

If it's her first baby then maybe a few staples that you found awesome. Eg rite aid hydrogel breast disks and lanolin cream.

At my baby shower for DD1 a friend gave me a little box with medicinal type things in it - baby Panadol, band aids, infacol, nail clippers, Fess, lansinoh, teething gel.. It was actually brilliant, because I never had to buy them myself, and if I suddenly needed something like that at night time, there was no mad dash to a pharmacy or anything - it was right there waiting.
It was a lifesaver on more than one occasion!

I got one of those little white noise toys to velcro on cot. I think cloud b brand. It was a giraffe. Best present ever!

It's her second baby so I think she'll have most of the basics covered. I like the idea of hospital stuff. Any other ideas?

A voucher to local restaurant/movies for a special date night after bub is born.
A box set of her favourite TV series for the long nights.

Whatever you do think about putting something in for the big brother or sister. It can be overwhelming with the new baby getting lots of stuff and they can feel a little left out.

Hmmm.. does she have a coffee machine or anything? Maybe a nice selection of coffee beans or pods/capsules etc? To keep her going?
A food hamper with lactation cookies? Biscuits? Some treat type food? Unless you do healthy stuff?

I got some bubbly! To drink obviously after breastfeeding etc. That was cool.

    I like practical things.
A nose Frida nose sucker. About $15 and one of the best baby gadgets I bought - way better than a traditional nasal aspirator.
A box of nappies in size up from newborn so they have some ready to go.
A gro egg or gro clock for the bedroom.
A week's worth of lite n easy dinners (depending on your budget, they work out about $10 each I think)
Nice hand cream for mum for when skin dries out after birth and all the hand washing.
