Default Accessible birthday parties - for ALL!

    Hi fellow parents,
Long time reader, but first time I've posted.

I am after some advice/feedback from parents and can't wait to hear your thoughts. For a long time I've had this idea that I'd love to run children's parties but don't want to buy a play centre as such. I like the idea of running private tailored parties (one party at a time) in a smaller venue. I have lots of ideas which I won't bore you with (yet) but primarily around running parties for special needs kids. For example I can't find party venues that are easily wheelchair accessible and offer games/fun for people with disability.

I think there may be a market for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder (as one example) who don't always like joining in group games but love doing individual activities/crafts alongside their friends. I could set up play areas where kids could choose what they want to do or lead the kids through fun/creative activities. For some parties an entertainer, like a magician, might be more suitable.

Anyway, like I said I won't go on but I thought this would be the perfect forum to reach out to about this. Do you think there would be a need? Do you think people are interested in hosting private parties?
I am based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and am thinking of opening my business somewhere in the City of Knox.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and feedback.

    Mel xxx

I don't know if there's a need, but just wanted to pop in and say I absolutely love this idea!

Something like a small play cafe size, shop front size iykwim? Specialised parties at weekends/evenings? Maybe with some quiet booth type areas for individual activities? That way you could make money as a play cafe during the week and do the tailored parties at weekends.

    Hi again,

I have created a survey to ask parents/families for their input around my kids party and play venue. I would appreciate you taking a couple of minutes to complete my survey.

    Thank you,
    Melissa
