We had a rough night with the kids last night so my DH is sulking and carrying on like he got NO sleep. I'm the one who is 11 weeks preg and just did night shift Friday night!!so who knows if we will celebrate... I bought him a card and some chocolates and lollies. I'm not too fussed on doing something massive but would like to be acknowledged with at least a card or some flowers. And a hug.

You poor thing. Sometimes you just need a bit of acknowledgement and appreciation.

My DP cleaned the bathroom this morning - just cos - it needed it. I'm well pleased. I reckon that's better than any Valentine's present ☺

So, apparently he is out of drinking practice and old lol.

He is back in bed feeling sick (such a 'delicate' stomach) so we will not see him until maybe midday or later.

And have to think of how to keep DS amused. So Valentines Day hanging out with DS!

No, we don't celebrate it. I dislike the commercial aspect.

One of my other reasons for disliking it is that it makes some single people feel lonely and left out because they don't have a significant other.

I love Valentine's Day. I Actually love the commercial side of it, I love the big balloons, the flowers, the chocolate, the puzzles look on men's faces at the flower stands in shopping centres. I think it's adorable. But guess what..DH has forgotten about it. I will remind him in about an hour when I give him his gift. Can't wait to see the pure terror on his face... I'm so mean.

Ok you've got my curiosity. I thought you were religious? Sonny you not celebrate other events like Halloween because they're pagan?

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you. I'm genuinely interested.

We usually would do something small maybe a card, bottle of wine, picnic or lunch/dinner out. This year with DD both of us CBF lol. For us usually it's just an excuse to do something nice but we do that a lot anyway
DH did the floors for me this morning as my SPD has flared up, that meant a lot to me as he knows how much I like clean floors!
