I always wanted to go on a cruise but in the last couple of years there has been at least 3 different ships with gastro outbreaks and has gone through the whole ship...bugger that.

yeah how peed off would you be!? pay all that coin and end up crook and crapping your daks the entire time.

I've also deduced that a cruise is not really about traveling and seeing the world. it's about a holiday on a ship that goes places. my parents showed me their pics and all their stops were just at port. like they'd get off the boat, spend a couple of hours close to port doing a couple of touristy things, then get back on the ship. what the?!

I know everyone has different objectives when traveling but dh and I really love to get into the local culture, meet and hang out with locals, explore the local bar and food scene etc. basically try and get a real taste of a place as a local might experience it. spending 95% of your time on a cruise ship with retirees would just crap me off to tears 😂

I agree. I've been against them for years. I spent my 20s backpacking around the world but since having kids with only 4nights just DH and I in that time we do what gives kids entertainment and us some time off.
I figure for such a cheap holiday I'll drink enough to keep bugs away and have fun. Ha

I was soooo worried about that too - I must say I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the ship, they were always cleaning and they had staff standing at the door of every restaurant and bar with hand sanitiser !

My FIL paid for us all to go for his 70th which was lovely but I wouldn't pay to go on a cruise , it just wasn't for us

Debating what to do - I hurt my toe Friday morning but didn't think anything of it, it didn't seem so bad, throbbed as the day went on but wasn't surprising. Yesterday and today I cannot weight bear on it, it's still swollen and tingly, something isn't right on the underside of the toe but I don't know what.

Would you wait and go to the doctors to get a referral for an x-Ray and then results and follow up appointment or would you pack yourself an amusement kit and head to the emergency room knowing it's probably a long wait?

It would be quicker waiting for the dr tomorrow lol.

If you are off it all evening maybe get it iced up, stay off it. There is nothing much else you can do for it now anyway.
