My ideal valentines would be a dinner at our fav restaurant and hotel afterwards
We don't have the money for either this year so will just be a dinner at home

I don't celebrate my birthday and Mother's Day didn't even exist to my kids til my eldest started school last year. I am really uncomfortable being spoiled, getting gifts etc so I would hate for my husband to bring me presents or flowers etc on Valentine's. I am trying to encourage my 6yo to make a card for his little girlfriend though.

I'm not that fussed to be honest. Dh and I usually share funny picture of hearts to reach others Facebook walls. It is just our thing.

If anyone has seen the movie Juno, in that the boy that she loves loves orange tic tacs so she buys him a case of them. This morning dd had swimming lessons and dh was waiting at a table while we were in the change room. When we came out there was a pack of orange tic tacs at my spot at the table. We do this occasionally. It gave me the warm fuzzies. Better than valentines day

we will do something different this valentines day. we have tour of a car museum. we are members of a car club, and the club has been invited. apparently this is quite a big deal, it is a private museum, and people come from all over to see this. I hope it is interesting. we usually dont make too much fuss on valentines day. marie

Ideal? Someone looks after the kids for us, and we go out for dinner, a show, and then stay overnight in a fancy hotel. Bliss.

    Default your ideal Valentine's Day

Ideal Valentines Day would be a long adults only breakfast date so I can read my book enjoying my coffee and the sunshine. Then I would love a mid day nap on my own (gosh how I miss sleeping with out a toddler on my head). To finish it off dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant with copious amount of tequila and margaritas.

Reality is we went to the lake for a swim and came home to do the laundry while watching Netflix. DH has gone to the pub while DD and I are laying around watching Peppa pig sticking stickers to paper.
