    Oh how disappointing @clucky14
Sorry to hear they cancelled ur cycle hun. If u're doing a fresh stim round and ur baseline FSH is high, that puts u at a risk of ohss (even if u don't have pcos). So I think they are erring on the safe side and postponing the stimulation til ur baseline FSH is normal. @ABG79- medicated or non medicated FET is a topic we are not privy to I'm afraid. I can only guess it depends on the individual's hormone level- whether they need the prog support or not and whether they need help to ovulate. In my case, I suspect it's because my e2 was high for a cd12 so they got me to trigger.
We can't do anything except take it as it comes. We have to trust that what the FS decides is for our benefit and in our best interest, although I agree it's quite frustrating when they're not forthcoming with info.
    Welcome @2weekhate
Most fertility Acupuncturist will be able to help with hormone balancing. It's a matter of finding one u're comfortable with.
Hope everyone is having a good week so far

Default Any experiences with Primary Ivf? #2

Welcome @twoweekhate @clucky14 - I feel your disappointment that's how I felt when we missed out on fresh transfer due to getting OHSS after EPU! But I'm now so pleased that my body is healthy again and I'm ready for transfer 😊. I can't imagine how I could have had a successful transfer with how crazy high my hormones were and the discomfort of OHSS too.

I've been getting Accupuncture done for quite a while and it's helped with balancing my hormones. I also get chiro/kinesiology done and try to meditate and do yoga to reduce my stress levels and ensure I get good quality sleep (as stress and poor quality sleeps plays havoc on my hormones along with eating too much sugar!). But I really swear by Accupuncture it's made a big difference to my hormones and moods. Just spend this cycle being kind to yourself and getting ready for next cycle. Xxx
@tjuls thanks for the info re medicated or non medicated FET.. I'll just have to wait and see what they say next Thurs at out appointment. Really hope my hormone levels have come down dramatically I'm feeling really good so fingers X'd! Hope you are all xxx

    Hi @LillyM and @tjuls,

Sorry that that next episode of "poas-ing with Vicky" is held up. I just finished an exam for a course I am studying for yesterday so haven't had time to think too much about this. Boy, am I glad that I can relax and chill now. Going to poas again this evening to see, but so far, just fatigue and lower back pain. Could totally be due to my studies and having sat down at the desk for very long hours for the last few days!

Sorry to hear about the cancellation of your cycle @clucky14. Big hugs to you hun. Having been through ohss, like what @ABG79 said, it is no fun at all and could very well have been bad. I was also very disappointed when my ET was cancelled due to ohss, but looking back, it would have been too taxing on the body, so it's all for the better. Treat yourself well and you will back in the game in a much better state than ever before! Hang in there!

@2weekhate - yes, I go to an acu clicnic and they specialise in acupuncture for fertility and IVF. Just google and you will find a bunch of them pop up. If you need contacts, just PM. I don't know whether it really helps, but I agree with @ABG79, at least it's relaxing and makes me feel positive.
@ABG79, you are almost there! Woohoo! Excited for you! Agree with @tjuls that we don't quite know how they decide between med and natural FET, but I think it's got to do with your health history and BT/scans, etc. I think they usually go with natural unless your situation shows extra support needed. I was in a natural FET cycle. Only "meds" are the Crinone gel once a day as instructed so far.

AFM, just waiting. Can Friday come already??!?!!!!

Hope the exam went well @VickyP. What timing huh? Tww AND exams.. Double Thumbs up at ya! Great job! Hope the sore back and fatigue eases up soon but hey if that's an indication ur lil bean is getting stronger, it ain't so bad huh?
@ABG79- did u enjoy ur kinesiology sessions? I had one session (by accident- long story) and never went back because I ended crying most of the session.. Don't know if it's because there was some truth in what the kinesiologist picked up or the fact that it made me realised there there was a heap of emotion buried deep in my subconscious and that I needed to see a therapist to resolve all that.
Annnyways...I've done acupuncture as well @2weekhate. And I must say I believe that it with Chinese herbs has helped me to prepare my body for TTC and ivf.
We'll try anything don't we? anything to better our chances.. Even off anecdotal evidence that it could help.

@VickyP good luck with your exam hope you're relaxing too and looking after yourself 😘

@tjuls I've been getting kinesiology done for some time now, initially it stirred up lots of emotions but she has helped to remove lots of emotional blockages which is meant to be helpful for fertility. After each session I feel so relaxed and sleep like a baby! I go to the same place for my acupuncture it's a holistic health clinic so they all work together to treat me and I've been seeing a nutritionist and taking Chinese herbs too.. I've been doing it all for about a year now and I'm feeling very centred and calm, it's made a difference to mental health and helps me to cope with daily challenges with ease. My cycles used to be irregular and some months i wouldn't ovulate. My periods are now regular, my skin is healthier and so is my tummy. If anything I'm glad to be feeling healthier.

I'm not a nut case with it all and I still enjoy wine and choccies and hot chips every now and then hehe But I'm not as emotional as I used to be. And I think it's made a massive difference to my wellbeing which has to be good for baby making. It's helped me slow down my mind and relax and not put pressure on myself.

Thanks ladies for the support. The exams were tough but it kept my mind off the TWW, which isn't a bad thing. Now I am feeling super relieved that it's over and I get to also take some time off from work as a project I am working on is delayed. Talk about timing... Just got to have faith sometimes.

On that note, this is episode 2 of "Poas-ing with Vicky" (I think it might turn out to be a trilogy?!)

@tjuls, i cheated and poas-ed everyday because DH made me (wasn't hard to talk me into it).

Left one was the one I showed you all last Sat. The one on the most right is today. It's looking positive but I don't want to get my hopes too high because I have had a m/c before so keeping my fingers and toes crossed. Can't wait for BT on Friday to roll around because I want to know whether the beta level is in a safe range.
