    @J37, I still count it

    The stupidest thing is that I'm 28 weeks pregnant with a high risk pregnancy yet I still took those few seconds out of a day spent stressing about the effect of last night of my baby to weigh myself and feel satisfied.

    Didn't last of course. Back to stressing!

    I have lost a bit of weight when ive been sick, but it is the only good thing about gastro. I have had serious stomach issues, and it knocks all the energy out of me for days. it is definitely not a good way to loose weight. marie.

    It's ok, I'm not advocating that anyone infect themselves for the purpose of losing weight

    I can't recall the last time I had gastro, but my sister was sick for a week when DD2 was born and said she lost 7kg. She was pleased with that, but was so annoyed that she couldn't visit the baby when she was born!

    True, but so is the initial few kgs of most weight lost on VLCDs or whatever the latest 'cleanse' fad is. So hey, I'll take that! Just had my own nutritional cleanse without having to sign up to a pyramid selling cult!

    Completely agree. But sometimes it's enough to kick start me into actually doing a bit more.

    How are you feeling now? This one was nasty for me. The gastro seems to be gone but now my whole body is aching. I think my 3yo handled this better than I did. I'm being very whingy.

    Pretty mild case here thank goodness! I had it 3 times during my pregnancy with DS and it was just horrible! Definitely hits you harder. Go easy on yourself!
