Before 6.30 am is "still IN bed time" here, and has been for years.
Even when kids were very very little, we kept them in bed (other than toilet use) until then. Any conversation was stopped with "shh honey it's still bed time".

After 6.30 they can play quietly IN their room, after 7am they can come out- one of us is always up by then.

We use a grow clock. DS1 is almost 3 and was waking before 6am , since putting the grow clock in he has been staying in his room until it turns into a sun. I had it set at 630 originally and have moved it forward bit by bit, now I don't see him before 7am and it is amazing!

We have a Sam sheep clock for DS who is nearly 3. He was waking at 5 and we've pushed it out to 6. It took a while to get him to that time though.

If you do get one, make sure you don't move the time forward too quickly. We did and it nearly ruined all our work.
