    Default Obs/Gyn Brisbane

    Hi Everyone,

I am new to bubhub and unsure if my question has been answered previously. I am new to Brisbane and am trying to decide the best obs/gyn and hospital for my 2nd pregnancy. I delivered my first child in the Illawarra region, had a fantastic obs/gyn and the nurses at the hospital were absolutely fantastic. I am looking for a similar/better experience this time round. What are your thoughts on Dr Di Poad? Which obs/gyn would you suggest to be well informed, possesses excellent chair side manner and exceptional operating skills?

Also can you please suggest a good GP or location that does vaccinations for babies? I prefer someone with experience and is gentle with the little ones.

    Thank you for your help!

I went to Greenslopes they have a team of 7 doctors and I received excellent care there. My doctor is Heng Tang and I highly recommend him. It was a public holiday though when I delivered so Brad Robinson was the on call doctor and delivered my posterior baby (ouch lots of back labour) via ventouse and an episiotomy. Post-birth, the midwives were so supportive when I had baby blues-- considering how busy they were (the call button was dinging non-stop when all the babies decided to scream in synchrony)-- but they were tireless in their care.

Heng is extremely nice in calming my extremely anxious self-- I sent him several texts over the days after I was discharged on the public holidays about concerns for one of my stitches which came apart (I had anal incontinence 9 days post birth, possibly because baby was sitting so low for >=4 hours, was really worried about the wound getting infected, which I did get and was treated promptly for) and he rang me right back.

I highly recommend the child health clinics for care for the baby.

I highly recommend the Obstetric team at Eve Health. They deliver at Mater Mother's.
