Man, that sux! Sorry to hear this.

Does anyone know, with Clomid, I know it assists with ovulation but those of us that ovulate fine (but have one blocked tube), does it assist with producing eggs from both ovaries every month, or still only the one?

With one blocked tube I've got a 50% chance, yet given we only ovulate from one every month doesn't that technically drop the odds down to 25%? Going down the IVF route but that doesn't look to be until March so keeping my fingers crossed the lap/hysteroscopy/flush help before hand..
My FS said its not an exact science but hoped it would mean I would ovulate from both ovaries each month. Some months I ovulated 2 eggs on my blocked side. It really just depends on your body sorry Hun. We did around 6 months of clomid and am not on cycle 1 of IVF.

Here's hoping it works for you x

My IVF specialists thought we would try clomid originally before she did the lap to check everything out. Turned out one tube was blocked and the other had a hole. The blocked one a flush didn't clear it and the hole is so unusual (possibly from my mc's) that she was unsure if it would ever repair itself but there was nothing they could do. Given I had been pregnant naturally twice she said we could try clomid but thought rather than waste more time we had a much better chance if we just went straight to IVF. I did a cycle two months after my lap and was pregnant first time. I was told IVF was originally designed for tubal issues so if it's just a logistics issue then your chances are higher for success.

    Hi ladies
I'm in the March thread with you all
Please put me down for the 7th. I've been on the Gold Coast for a holiday, which has been a distraction from testing! I had a chem in Feb so feeling optimistic about this month and beyond. How is everyone travelling? I've been on rides, go karts and all sorts of fun things, doctors orders to relax and not think about ttc! I'm currently 12dpo

Hey @Lil Smurfy, I'm still just waiting...4 weeks post d&c yesterday, still no sign of AF, think I may be gearing up to ovulate as getting heaps of ewcm which I get in the week leading up to O. Temps are useless as I've gotten a cold so temps over the last 2 days are way too high . How are things going with you?

All this talk of vitex is making me think I should try it to shorten or regulate my crazy cycles. I normally have 35ish day cycles but every 3rd cycle seems to be 60ish days . I ovulated on day 32 or 33 with the baby we just lost

Agree totally. I guess my question was more along the lines of (while we try naturally before IVF) does the clomid ‘force’ both your ovaries into releasing eggs each month or still only one?

Perfect! A holiday is good at the best of times, let alone when you really need one to take your mind off things.

From everything I’ve read you’d be the perfect ‘candidate’ (is that the right word?!) for Vitex then – FX it helps to decrease that long cycle of yours x

Things are going ok, 4 weeks post D&C and no sign of AF. I'm so impatient, I just want to get started again

Hi ladies, I haven't had a chance to catch up read, just dropped in to say I'm 99% sure I'm out for the month 11Dpo with pre AF spotting cramps and pms (like every month) not due until Sunday but sure it's coming, had a little cry in traffic on the way to work this morning about another failed month.
