Hi Jan welcome. They say a normal healthy couple will conceive within 12months of TTC (not that this helps). You're a little older this time round (not sure how old you are as such but obviously not as young as last time you conceived iykwim). Sometimes it just takes a little longer but the spotting from 21days is somewhat odd. If you're really concerned you can ask to see a specialist. They will check your hormones through out your cycle and maybe a seman analysis on your OH.

In our case we've been TTC for 3 years now but tests have shown I have PCOS, blocked right tube and DH sperm are only half normal lol (to lazy to ask for directions basically).

I don't know anything about predators, but just wanted to say that my DD took 7 months (9 cycles) to conceive. There was nothing wrong with either of us, it just took time.
Hahahaha best typo ever!! I literally lol 😂
Jan welcome!!! I don't know anything either! This is my first time TTC as both other times just happened the only time of the month we were not careful. This will be month 4/5 of casually seeing if we can be blessed with another. Hubby is casual and I'm obsessively wanting another lol. We are not even sure if we can conceive again due to the progression of my PCOS so praying for a miracle.

That's good news Lil Smurfy, yay for the negative test!! Mine are still annoyingly faint - I'm predicting another week before they turn negative.

Welcome Jan! I've had no experience with pessaries either sorry however every ultrasound I've ever had (not pregnant) they've always told me I have a thick lining, I don't have the spotting though. Sorry not much help am i, hopefully your ultrasound on day 21 provides some answers.

That was autocorrect at its finest. I don't know about predators or pessaries

    Thanks everyone,

    hahaha "predator" damn auto correct!

I know a dose of patience is in order and it can take 12 months plus even as a healthy couple, I'd be happy to wait but am just concerned the spotting is inhibiting implantation. I'm only in my late 20's now and DH is early 30's so I'm guessing age wouldn't be the factor, although hubby is going for a semen analysis as its non invasive before I start anymore testing. I have have to stop dr googling! everything connected o thick uterine lining links to cancer even though I know that category isn't me (more post menopausal women).

Jan, what day to you O on? I think I'd be worried too, if I was spotting before AF for days.

I'm guilty of Dr Googling too much and need to stop too as it usually freaks me out. Age is definitely on your side hon so fingers crossed for you.

I'm 36 this year and starting to freak out about having babies. My partner would like 2 so if I don't get a sticky baby soon I'll be trying for babies when my older daughters are graduating high school

I've done way too much googling in the last couple of weeks.

@Lilsmurfy I O between CD 13-16 but always have a 13 day luteal phase so if I o on CD13 I have a 26 day cycle or if I o on CD16 I have a 29 day cycle but it hasn't been longer or shorter than that (in the last 18 months except for a strange 35 day one during breastfeeding).

Hopefully it's ok if I move over here, I'm mid AF so definitely out of the feb testers.

Can I run a question by all you women out there to possibly gain some insight from experiences? We aren't having any luck falling pregnant this round (only took 2 months with our DD) been ntnp for 6 months and his is the 4th month of charting etc, my doctor has done the standard rounds of tests thyroid, hormones etc and all good, regular cycle etc only issue is early spotting from about day 21/22 until AF arrives, Dr doesn't think its endometriosis or hormonal and has suggested overly thick lining and is sending my for a 21 day U/S and depending on results has recommended progesterone pesseries to stop spotting. My question is has anyone been prescribed pesseries for this reason or if they already had good progesterone levels (58 pmol/l)?? Slightly confused and don't know if it's the right course of action!
Welcome Jan! I typically spot for up to a wk before AF but no one seems concerned by that (GP/FS). My two 21day progesterone checks have been quite low 27 and 30pmol/l but my FS told me on Wednesday that the number doesn't matter (so long as you're above 25 I think?) there's no evidence to suggest a higher number is better than a lower number. Personally I have found vitex and regular vitamin b tablets curb the spotting. I hear pessaries will do the same though and I will be on them this month as part of my "monitored cycle"... I'll let you know if they fix the spotting
