oh @Gagingi that's terrible news about the 5 embies. hugs. I hope you're ok. I hope the frozen one is a good one - fwiw I think the slower/lower ones often work too. and transferring it on a non-medicated cycle might be all the difference you need. I hope Wazza has some ideas for you. take care

@Gagingi Im sorry the update you received wasn't better. Ive not made it to a 5day transfer before, and I don't know if we get an update or not. I am hoping no news is good news.

Can I ask if you all use acupuncture along with your IVF? Im on a thread with ladies all from the same clinic and they ALL use acupuncture. One put it in my head that those that have been successful because of acupuncture and I strongly disagree with that suggestion. But it was enough to make me book an appt pre-transfer early Saturday morning. I couldn't get one for a post transfer session. I hate people planting doubt. I don't have any room for doubt.

BIB, I know u posted it recently somewhere but damned if I can find it...Can u pls post Wazza's list of supps, I have a friend who I want to pass it on to. Thanks luv.

For Her: Folic Acid (Megafol brand usually over the counter at the chemist) 1x5mg tab a day, Berroca 1x day (I substituted a Mega B capsule instead), Fish Oil 1000mg's a day, Zinc- 40mg's a day, Vitamin E 500mg's (1000iu) a day, Co-Enzyme Q10 200-400mg's a day (I did 300 mg's a day), Low dose aspirin 100mg's a day, DHEA 3x25mg caps a day, Melatonin 1x5mg capsule at night. I also added Vit D as I was low in it and Fresh Royal Jelly (1/2tsp a day) but you could take it capsule form too.

For Him: Aloe Vera Juice 20mls at night, Zinc 40mg's, Pumpkin seeds >10 per day (I just gave DP 1 tbs of peppita's every day), Folic Acid 5mg's a day, Goji berries 1xtbs a day or 20 mls a day of Goji berry juice, Selenium 100mcg/day.

You can take all of these right up until EPU (except the DHEA, you have to decrease to 1 capsule a day from Day 2 of stimms until EPU). You also need a script for the DHEA/Melatonin here in Aus and have it made up at a Compounding Chemist.

Some of the Girls here on BH buy it online from o/seas. I think they use sites like iherb to purchase it??

I'll see Wazza on Tuesday to work out the next step. I know he'll suggest DE again, but I still really want that genetic link. I'm wondering if we'd be better with 3-day PGD and freeze all, as I seem to get at least mild OHSS each time and evidence is growing to support frozen next cycle vs immediate fresh following stim cycle regardless of OHSS. That will cost a fortune though and we're very poor to start with. Not so sure about down-regging for me either.

Oh Luv, am so sorry to hear that It's totally frucked!!!!

I don't think Wazza will be keen on doing a Day 3 PGD as my understanding is it's a bit risky to the embryo to test it then but you never know what he'll say/suggest.

Just because it wasn't good enough to biopsy doesn't mean it won't be good enough to give you a BFFP Luv. See what The Man says

@Billie2 I did accupuncture on my second cycle (but it was a bust). it was really relaxing though. I haven't done it for either bfp cycle. if that helps.

agree. if you need an example @Gagingi fwiw my current frostie was day5 (the second one, not leading) and untested. at the time, testing was really expensive so we didn't try it & I asked my FS (months) later if it was suitable for testing and she said no. they froze it. and it's stuck so far. so this very much could be your take home bub. (plus mine is much older than yours so I think you have a better chance)

@Gagingi - sorry to hear that, I know how crap it feels when the cycle is a bust. As you know I have two day 6 frozen untested ones but am still very undecided as to whether I will ever transfer them as logically I can't reconcile in my mind that they could possibly be normal when all the other ones haven't been. But then again since when did logic prevail in IVF?

My two cents worth is that an immediate fresh transfer following stim is not the preferred option for you given your propensity for OHSS ( and I think you had some internal bleeding last time after EPU??). I know frozen cycles are more expensive but I think there is a lot of evidence supporting giving your body a rest for a cycle before doing a transfer ( at least for some people). But I'm no expert by any means having never actually been in position to transfer.
