Just popping in to send @Charlie74 and @Precious40 a hug. I hope you get some answers at your appointment Charlie and precious it sounds like a really good idea to get away for a week or so and take your head out of the usual routine. I remember after my d&c (IVF BFP) waking up from the anaesthetic and I couldn't stop crying. After thinking I had made it to 12 weeks and then all of a sudden it's as though none of it ever happened. It's crushing. Do whatever gets you through x

Hello everyone. So I've finally managed to speak to the FS at my current clinic. He is going to refer me to have the laparoscopy in the pubic hospital so it will be free and he said the wait won't be long. Yay! Small win. He said he can't see any issues with me and it's probably the embryos but the lap will help rule out any other potential issues. He said my current clinic has now had a price reduction and will grow all embryos out to day 5. He said if I cycle with them again he will make my dose 450iui and try to get as many embryos as possible and do all the immune protocol also. They previously only have low doses and aim for a small number of embryos. The only thing is the clinic do not have Pgd testing. Now I'm not really sure what to do about Dr NL. I can't cycle with him until April anyway as my private health hasn't kicked in so maybe I should do another cycle with my current clinic?? I don't know if all of this is just more blind hope and potentially more emotional damage but financially it is manageable as compared to Monash which is just so crazy expensive. I had planned on an ivf forced break but now I don't know.

it sounds like they're luring you back in @Caesardust. I guess it's worth trying the higher dose if you can afford the cycle and want to try it to see if there's a different response. would making a pros vs cons list help you decide?

How fast can he get you in for the Lap Luv?? If he can pull some strings and get you in in the next few weeks (does it have to be done on a particular day??) then I'd go for it. Ask him to do an Endometrial biopsy while he's in there. It'll be a "2 for the price of 1" deal in that he'll be able to test for uterine NK Cells plus you'll also have the benefit of having an Endo Scratch at the same time which could help with implantation of the embryo(s).

It's hard not being able to test your embryo's, but growing them out to Day 5 at least will give you a better chance with the one's that make it. Not as high as transferring a PGD tested embryo of course, but a lot higher than a day 2,3 or 4 transfer Luv

If he can put you on a decent immune protocol and preferably get you in for that Lap before you start as it would be beneficial for you to know that there's no issue in your oven or with your tubes leaking etc, then I would definitely give it a go!!!

@Tahli how are you doing? What happened with the diabex?? I've been sick from it before but usually if I took tablets too close together or on an empty stomach or had upped the dose too quickly. It's a tricky med to get right.

I was about the same. I weaned over the course of only a week and didn't suffer any effects (that I noticed DP may say otherwise). @Bongley 12 weeks already O. M. G. Time is just whizzing by. I'm a few days shy of the magical 'viable' 24 weeks on Sunday

Well this cycle has pretty well been a bust. Of our six embies, four gave out by day 5 and the lab has just rung to say that the remaining two are too weak to biopsy. They've frozen an untested day 6 5CC , but the 5DD was binned. I was surprised they'd freeze anything and cannot imagine doing a FET with just that embie, but don't know if I'd mix a normal with an untested either...

I'll see Wazza on Tuesday to work out the next step. I know he'll suggest DE again, but I still really want that genetic link. I'm wondering if we'd be better with 3-day PGD and freeze all, as I seem to get at least mild OHSS each time and evidence is growing to support frozen next cycle vs immediate fresh following stim cycle regardless of OHSS. That will cost a fortune though and we're very poor to start with. Not so sure about down-regging for me either.

    I hate IVF!
