So my current clinic just took all that, we did the counselling, they took our money and off we went. They have not once asked for a test to see what's going wrong. Privately through other FS clinics on the side I requested a scratch, a biopsy for nkc, mthfr tests, a range of other vitamin level tests, dq alpha match and intralipids. Not once has a FS at my clinic offered any advice other than you just need to keep trying. Everything looks good it's just you haven't done enough cycles. That's when I've even seen a FS which has been 3 times in 6 cycles. All contact is via the nurse on the phone and I deal with a few of those too. Some lovely and competent and some not as much so. They are hamstrung by the FS and it depends on the day whose there and picks up my file as to what will happen next. I am leaving the clinic now and I'm sure they'll be happy as they obviously don't know how to help me. I don't want my complaint to result in them offering me another free cycle as that's what happened with this one and here I am still not pregnant and still with no answers as to why. I don't know what else they could do? I am usually a fighter but is it worth it?
@Caesardust that sounds awful. Is it a full-price clinic? Regardless I'd have thought you should have seen an FS a lot more than that! Maybe complain to ACCC? I think you'd agree that besides the financial and physical cost, the time and heartbreak are the key issues. After 3 cycles they really should have re-evaluated. I see IVF as more and more of a sub-specialty and wish it was recognized as such - not fobbed off on nurses. The difference between Wazza and FS#1 are miles apart. That said if you are moving on, then engaging in a dialogue about their shortcomings won't help you now.

The criticism being that it leads to less eggs and more cycles, therefore greater strain on woman and higher profits for clinics (as extra drugs are PBS). I was researching low LH whilst stimming. They were peer-reviewed articles. I've discussed it with Wazza numerous times and am usually on 450-600 FSH. I am a bit of a go hard or go home kinda girl though.

Yes..but there's no real proof that caning the ovaries with super high doses of FSH work either. I know that some women seem to respond better to it as others respond better to lower doses.

For myself, my first 3 Cycles were with doses ranging from 225IU-275IU. Cycle 4 with Wazza was 600IU plus HGH which didn't give me any more eggs or better embryos and my last Cycle with him I started off at 300IU (split doses of course) at my suggestion that was increased up to 400IU for the last couple of days before EPU, no HGH.

So for me personally, more wasn't better. I know for women with DOR/advanced age, higher doses in the AACEP protocol seem to be what yields the most eggs statistically speaking but I think it's a very individual thing.

I also think if you've tried lower doses of FSH for a couple of Cycles, then try higher doses to see what happens and vice versa. Same with protocols. If you've always done Flare Cycles, then try a Long Down Reg or try the AACEP etc to see if they improve your outcomes.

Lovely ladies, as much as I would like to come, I don't think it will be possible. For a start, 27/02 is my Mother's 75th Birthday party, lol. But even if it weren't, it's a good 4 hour drive and a tank of fuel I can't really afford at the moment. Sorry girls I hope you all have a wonderful time though

Hi @Precious40, how are you doing hon? Feeling a little better today? Physically, I mean - I know the emotional side of things never really heals.

I was wondering how you were going to proceed from here? I can't quite remember if you had any frosties stored away? Are you looking at FET down the track or will you need to stim again?
