wow 12 weeks already. that seemed to go quick. good luck for your upcoming scan. sounds like all the stress all built up. I wonder how bodybuilders manage so long on steroids. glad you're almost finished the pred.
Tahli, JM is right!
@Bongley I'm so so sorry your ED's other recipient has just lost her pregnancy. How very sad. I hope she has some frozen embryos. But how very tough for her right now and like you said a reminder to be super grateful for each week you can tick of the calendar.
I can't believe you'll be 12 wks next week. Your first trimester has flown by! Are you still shattered?
OMG, you just made me laugh out loud with your frozen bread!! I would have hurled it out the front door for the magpies!!!
@Summer I hope you've just recorded @Bongley's invaluable Tim Tam and Pred bloat data.
Tahli Yes it is very sad and to get so far and see a heartbeat, It was her first ED transfer, she has quite a few frozen embryos I believe, maybe 6? I think she's keen to get stuck back in.
I am still very fatigued but getting some sunnier days so I think I'm turning a corner thank goodness. Nothing like having the joy of getting a BFP only to feel like you've been hit by a truck My partner is starting to get antsy about lack of conjugal visits. He said "Do you know when we last had sex was? Christmas eve!!" to which I replied "Oh I'll buy you a f%^%cking sympathy card!" There's those steroids again.
I'm normally pretty good with making sure we keep that spark alive (or at least limping along) but jeeze I've got a full time job a very whingy toddler, a year's worth of IVF hormones to come out of my system, steroids and Manchego sucking my life force out of me, give a girl a break!
Nothing like a quick cycle change to keep you on your toes.
I just rang my clinic to let them know that I hadn't received the prescriptions they were sending me in the mail last week. Got that sorted (apparently they went direct to the pharmacy and the drugs are already there waiting for me to collect) and as I was saying goodbye I asked one last question: "I'm due to start taking my Primolut on 18/02 - what happens if I bleed naturally before then though?"
The Nurse asked if I thought I would, and I was quite non committal. My crystal ball is not working properly today! My CD1 was 23/01 so if I had a regular cycle I'd be due around the 19/02. Being that my follies were bl00dy tiny on CD10 I really have no idea. But I had a sneaky suspicion in the back of my mind that I might jump the gun on them - again!
They have moved my cycle forward. To NOW! I just took my first Primolut tablet, and will take that up to 17/02. AF should come on between 18/02 and 21/02. Gonal F and Clomid start 22/02 and scan is booked for 10am 29/02. That would mean CD1 would appear at what otherwise would have been CD27 to CD30.
Does this sound right girls? If I'd followed the original plan AF would have been due to arrive at what would otherwise have been CD 34 to CD37 of my cycle and I was worried she would come on her own before then. Now we have essentially moved everything forward a week.
Set my mind at ease here. Do you think I made the right call in going a week earlier than originally planned? Have I left enough time in between cycles considering I took my last Gonal F on 02/02? Are my tiny follies going to be an issue in all of this? Would I have gotten AF earlier or later because of those if I'd had a drug-free cycle?
