is it worth ringing the clinic today and asking the questions, @Charlie74? or do they need the scan results to answer them. it might take your mind off things if you have an 'ivf task' for today? on my second cycle I listened to these 'ivf iui circle bloom' mp3s. that cycle was a bust but they were quite relaxing as she says to play them lying down and then do some visualisation stuff. I think nice music and good thoughts can be equivalent if you don't want to buy them. (actually I didn't listen to them in any other cycles but have been calmer from work since then)
I'm starting on a new project/customers this week. started discussions last week. I feel a bit guilty that I'll be having time off later in the year (all being well) but I haven't mentioned it to them yet in case something goes wrong/changes. I figure I'll be able to handover to one of the guys here during mat. leave and it's remote work so I can keep doing it after I'm back and still try look after bub at home (or maybe DP can do some too). I guess I'll see how the workload is once I get more into it. but the best thing is no more travel. well maybe a short trip here and there for training/meet&greet. I've been traveling for ~12yrs so this is perfect. and new (to me & the company) tech/projects/customers. I signed up for next uni subject too - an intro to sculpture one, so that'll be interesting. I don't know much about sculpture. the lines seem to be slightly darker today. I didn't post a pic. I hope it's increasing enough. will be nervous all day tomorrow waiting for those results.
@BlondeinBrisvegas So our Valentine's Days don't sound too different from each other!! I've only just discovered Call The Midwife. I didn't think I'd be able to watch it so avoided it for a long time but I really enjoy it. I'm hooked! I need to get my hands on first few series so I can binge watch it too!!
I know this is a bit of a direct approach @Charlie74. But I think if you can make the decision that you'll go ahead with the transfer at 6mm that would be helpful.
How long has the build up to this transfer been? A looooong time. And you've carefully researched and analyzed each step thoroughly. It's no wonder that now, only days away from transfer, you're having a mini breakdown. Such pressure.
What cycle day will Thursday be...and Saturday? What days of the week do Monash do FET's?
I've never been one for Valentine's Day, it's way over rated and everything is triple the price!
V-Day is totally an over commercialised load of BS!!
However, if a beautiful bunch of flowers arrived at my door...I wouldn't send them back!!😊
Hasn't happened yet so not holding my breath!!!😁😁😁
Yeah, its a croc and I never go out on the night. I get my guy a stupid card though usually and make sure I heavily hint a few days before so he gets me one or something like a bottle of wine, whatever, its just nice to have a tiny bit of effort expended. No wine this year though. God I miss my alcohol. *grits teeth*
Cake it will have to be instead (until I get GD)
@BlondeinBrisvegas ah geeze you sound well sick there! I hope you can get some much needed rest to knock this thing on the head
@Charlie74 that is all just so damn stressful, I can understand why you don't know what to do if its 6mm, that's what our doctors are supposed to be for. All you can do is outline your worries to them and take their advice and make the call. It's all on our shoulders isn't it?
We don't celebrate Valentines Day - never have and never will. I just see it as a shameless money-spinner and we have no spinning money left so it will just pass quietly by for us.
@Charlie74, I can feel your anxiety just reading your posts. Hugs to you, it is a stressful business. My two cents for what they are worth: Have a think about what you really feel in your heart to be a good enough lining to transfer. It might be 6mm, it might be 10mm. Then when you get your scan done, go with that gut instinct. I am pretty shocking with my memory at the moment, but surely it can be arranged for you to try again next month? Don't be afraid to say "Ya know what, I'm not happy with that. My embies are too precious to waste." So much rests on everything being 'just so' and you shouldn't feel forced into doing a transfer if your gut is telling you your lining is anything less than ideal.
@Tahli, I can't believe you're only just noticing Call The Midwife! I have both series and the Christmas special on dvd, and there are 4 books which I also have. they are a fabulous read if you ever get the chance.
@BIB, I'm sorry you're still under the weather. And good on you for hitting the couch for some down time. Rest and plenty of fluids love.
@Blossom I didn't think I'd have the emotional strength to watch Call The Midwife so I passed on checking it out. I most probably have the emotional strength right now until I hit another big bump in the IVF road!
Even though I have a child it doesn't make watching births, birth announcements, seeing a friends newborn, getting texts from a pregnant friend who started ttc no 2 when I did, etc any easier. It doesn't become less painful when ttc no 2. It should of course but the deep wounds are still there.
I see the ABC shop has series 1-4 plus xmas special for $70. Valentines Day pressie??
