I wouldn't worry too much about the family report love. We had one done too, and it didn't amount to much in the end. The report basically said that my husband and I presented as well-rounded people, that his ex was still visibly upset and un-accepting of our relationship, that she didn't want her child being around me and that her child didn't want to see me either.

The consultant also picked up on the fact that the child had obviously been coached by her Mother to say certain things and that the Mother had expressed a lot of her anger about my DH and I in front of the child which therefore impacted on the child's opinion of me.

The recommendation of the family report was to allow the child only small periodic visits with DH on the condition that I was not present, which DH refused to agree to in his interview. The judge on the day said (and I quote) "I don't give a damn what that reports says!" The judges have been there and seen it all before love, and they can read a lot more into those reports than what is actually written on the paper. That includes when the consultants have empathy for the bitter ex's and are compelled to err on the side of caution in their recommendations.

I am positive that all will be well on the day. There is so little tolerance within the court system for this sort of BS and at the actual proceeding it is unlikely any of the things in the report will even be mentioned. Usually the judges just read over them prior to the case starting, and if there are no significant issues (violence, drugs, alcohol etc) they simply proceed to standard age-appropriate agreements with little conversation about the case at all. I do know how stressful it is, but my gut (and experience) tells me it will all be just fine
Thanks so much for your reassurance @Blossom74, what you've said sounds so sensible and our lawyer has reassured us along the same lines. The evidence shows that from age 10 throughout adolescence boys need more time with their father, and because the only thing the mother could come up with is petty stuff we're pretty hopeful that we'll get a good outcome. Thanks so much xxxxx

Sorry hon, I meant "more" as in our case which is now 3/14 to increase to be more equal. I think when I was reading some legal stuff about it and what the psychologists now say is that boys need a regular influence from a positive male role model through those years, so greater contact is encouraged it if is less than 50%.

@Summer Thanks for clarifying! You had my heart racing with worry!! It's interesting with you and I being on different sides of the fence!!
And thanks for your comment about life getting a bit easier for me once I can start dropping DS off at school and my ex collect him. Seeing my ex 5 days a week is less than ideal.
However what is ideal, is just going to the loo and noticing I've started spotting a tincy tiny bit. My heart sung! CFC have me on a firm deadline of having to get AF by Sunday or I won't have enough time to build up my lining. C'mon AF! Come on down!!

@Precious40 Good luck for your surgery today. I'm guessing you're sitting up in bed having a cuppa and toast now. Be kind to yourself during your recovery.
@Caesardust Tomorrow morning is the time when I'll be praying your second line starts to darken up. Your body has processed the Pregnyl really quickly which should make the next two days POAS results easy to interpret.

Oh and I bought one of these $5 pill organisers at Kmart yest and it's perfect for me as I'm taking tablets three times a day this cycle. Because I take so many at night I use the 'spare' box for the evening as well.
