Well This is what happened. I continued on like a captain going down with his ship, making sure I got every item. I also then unintentionally blocked off access to the other checkout (there are only two) with the combination of trolley and toddler who won't leave my side, and people were building up with their one or two items as I struggled valiantly on loading bags as baby screamed and thrashed around. One tried to pass by saying excuse me to my toddler to get her to move which only resulted in toddler bashing her head on the handles of the trolley. Then I put the incorrect pin in which results in a 2 minute wait whilst their old system can dial it in again. This whole time I'm praying that my face is stoic and nobody can tell how flustered I am. I struggle in the car park with loading screaming baby, toddler and groceries in the car whilst trying not to let go of the rolling trolley.

Then when I get home I burst into tears as I am embarrassed, flustered and exhausted.

    Should of just gone home.

Actually, I should of got DH to mind at least one of the kids instead of sitting on his *** at home playing ps4 :/

Can I point out that anyone who was annoyed or rude are the ones that should be embarrassed. I am sorry that your trip was a stressful. I only have 1 toddler atm but I have had to push on with a tantrumming toddler before and I juat get my blinkers on and ignore everyone then when I am alone burst into tears.

Hugs. Hope you got some rest time after.

Sorry you had a **** day

I probably would have soldiered on, experiences the full kids meltdown you did then I would have given up and stopped by the coffee shop and had a cino (got toddler a milkshake to keep quiet) while bub slept in the carrier for a short nap instead of long nap in the cot.

Then I would have stopped home, dumped the kids and shopping on DH and gone and had another coffee and/or gone to the movies.

    Sounds awful OP

I probably would have gone and paid for my half trolley and bailed as quickly as possible.

I would have soldiered on. I've only been living in our town for 4 months but I think I'm already well known at the little IGA for pushing my screaming 2 year old around while I determinedly get the items I came in for.
