We had three chooks but one turned into a rooster so the man around the corner took him out to his farm to live. He was feisty! The two girls were very social and would escape out of yard and go visit the neighbours every day. Someone complained so they went to live in a free range, organic farm with promises not to eat them. I would love a bigger, more secure yard so I could have lots of chookies, they're such beautiful pets.
How's everyone's Saturday?
DD and I have been out and about this morning and now I'm meant to be doing housework but I'm sitting in my recliner reading BH instead.
I'm going to try and make hedgehog slice tonight, I've never made it before. If only I had hedgehogs, it'd be so much more authentic.
We took DS to his first swimming lesson. He hated it!
Then off to buy FIL's birthday present, out for lunch just the three of us.
Home to make salad to take tonight to family bbq and a cheesecake to take for my family's gathering tomorrow.
DS is still asleep - over 2 hours now - which is great because he'll have a late night tonight.
I've just taken ds to work. Done a bit of housework. Trying to muster up the energy to go to the shops . I have to make a lemon cheesecake as I have a party tonight. But nope I'm not feeling it yet. Lol. So I'm just on the lounge wasting time
We just got back from pizza hut .. we took the kids for lunch ...
My dad is at his wedding today marrying a horrible lady who has pushed him away from us so much that dad doesnt have anything to do with us anymore .... he hasn't spoken to me for 3 weeks now because I tried to tell him how I felt ... we used to be so close
my mum passed away almost 8 months ago... her and dad were married for 52years and today he is already remarrying
My kids were up and down all night last night so a bit of fighting today. Just put them down for a movie and trying to make a stuffed toy horse for a little girls birthday party on Monday
Well my girls are laying enough to cover all the non chook owners - I got 20 eggs this morning and already have six dozen in the fridge!
I've been cleaning the house in peace (while taking little breaks here and there) because DH has taken the three kids to the nearest bigger town to buy my birthday pressies.
So cute this morning because my big too were trying to be all cool "Yeah, we're just going food shopping with Dad and getting some farm stuff" and the little one pipes up "AND we're buying you pyjamas for your birthday mummy!!"
