Eternity rings in both my and H's culture (Irish, Italian Maltese) are for the first born child.

Both my engagement and wedding rings are 18K white gold, so eternity needs to be the same, and tradition is 3 stones- one for mum, dad and bub. H wants them to be exactly the same size- which is hard to find. So I assume he will get it made, like he did my engagement ring.

ETA: it was originally first born boy, but got modernised.

We had planned to have my eternity ring designed for our 10yr anniversary in May. However, my pearl fell out of my engagement ring a few weeks ago so took it to the jeweller and we had decided to have my mums wedding ring, my wedding ring and engagement ring which fit together melted down and have a single ring made and having a new pearl with the existing white diamonds and champagne diamonds with the argyle pink diamonds I have always wanted (planned to have had them in my eternity ring). I'm waiting for designs and will then choose. Due to the expense of the pink diamonds I will be laybying those first. Can't wait 😀 So excited.

This sounds beautiful and so meaningful! Would love to see the results when you have your ring!

I'd love something like this as an eternity ringImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1454655429.773582.jpg

rose gold band and pave diamonds (maybe white, maybe pink, haven't decided yet lol)

I'd wear it on my right hand though as my e-ring is a bit stand alone and my wedding band is so simple.

I have my eternity ring on my other hand as no rings would sit nicely with my wedding and engagement ring. DH bought it for me when our ds was born.
1st pic is the eternity ring and 2nd pic is my engagement and wedding rings.
    You all have beautiful rings!

I think your idea sounds lovely!
I'm still pretty attached to the idea, amethyst and rose gold actually look really lovely together. But if the next DS is may which is emerald, gorgeous stone, but not sure it really works with my vision. Then I feel we should add December for our daughter we lost so it's all getting rather 'bright' after that and I don't think works with my current idea.

This is what I was picturing with amethyst but slightly thinner.

I was picturing this type of ring but with a really light colored amethyst like the center stone below. All of the pave photos I find always have a deeper color amethyst which I don't like as much.

I would wear it on my right hand as well as nothing else can really go on my left with my engagement right.

You could do something like this:
    Attachment 78149
    Attachment 78150
    Attachment 78151
    Attachment 78152
These are really pretty. Not over the top and i think they would keep a classic look - something I'm keen on since my engagement ring is a classic solitaire.
I would never have thought of looking for something like this!
