    I tend to be a friend-ee

nobody really uses fb like they used to anymore. I don't even know how many friends I have on there, would be less than 200 though easily.

I just use it for mindless time wasting and to partake in conversations in the local groups i'm a part of.

I don't ever update my status anymore and only use it to share pics via Instagram.

are there any bub hub mummies on insta?

I tend to wait for people to friend request me. I've got all my close family and friends on there.

Does anyone ever accept friend requests from people that don't know? I've had 3 in the last week, all from Adelaide (where I live) but no friends in common. I always decline but wonder why these people are trying to add me.

They could just have fat fingers. Or a three year old!! Mine is always sending friend requests to randoms or (even worse!) deleting friends!!

I never accept them. Sometimes I get one and I'll have a small number of mutual friends with them, but if I don't know who the heck they are then I see no reason to have them as a friend!

I got a random one the other day with a really weird name and no mutual friends so I naturally declined it.

Oh yep, real random names that I have no clue who they are, I'm straight to delete.

Friend-ee here. I very rarely add friends. I've made a few exceptions in the past month, as my security settings are as tight as you can get them, and some people said they couldn't find me on Facebook, as we didn't have any mutual friends.

Most of my FB friends are family members. I won't keep anyone on there who isn't family, or who I wouldn't call for a catch up.

if i actually know the person, and i have some other contact with them besides fb. then i might be friends. i am very quick to ignore most friend requests i get. sometimes even if i do know the person, but i dont want to chat with them, i ignore them too. marie
