What faith is anti-Santa? Not meaning that in a disrespectful way genuinely curious.

I have no idea. But a lot of faiths don't acknowledge Santa. It's not my place to ask her what her religion is.

What's wrong with asking what someone's religion is if their commitment to their faith is strongly impacting their view on a topic? (Not saying that's a bad thing).

Ok let me rephrase it. I actually don't care what her religion is.

I "think" some Christians don't approve of santa as it takes away the true meaning of xmas that they believe in ( to celebrate the birth of Jesus) and the bible is against lying - but obviously everyone has their own personal reasons which they are entitled to do!

Ah I'm so glad BH is back on track! Loving these new threads! Though maybe that's because they lack the agro, just passionate people with differing opinions. Yay!

Yes but there are a lot of Christans that believe in Santa. Just trying to understand why LLH's faith sees her so strongly not believing in Santa. What is different about LLH's faith?

I wanted to ask this earlier but didn't want to push the issue.

we are Catholic (non practicing, prob won't bother christening my kids etc) which is a version of Christianity and Santa is ok to believe in.

I can only assume it's one of the more conservative branches of Christianity.
