Default ****graphic contains images of poo. Is this blood or a red food

My eldest daughter is pretty good at going to the toilet, however she just accidentally pooped her pants whilst we were watering the garden. I was disturbed with the colour. I'll email daycare to see if they had any red foods ( she didn't at home) . Does it look like food red or blood red to you ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1454401127.307337.jpgImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1454401143.124264.jpgImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1454401152.725134.jpgImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1454401164.176302.jpg

It looks like something she has eaten to me.

    It's not blood.

Hard to say. Looks like it could be blood but when my dog has passed blood in stools before the texture of blood is more distinct from the normal poo whereas this looks to be more like same texture???

I was thinking food too but the spot on the knickers looked bloody rather than food stained. They do have Beetroot dips occasionally so hopefully I get a quick reply in the morning that they've just had that lol

My kids have had had red stains like that in their undies when they have eaten too much tomatoes and had poo sitting in their undies. If blood was going to come out red it wouldn't be inside the poo, it would come out in a gush after a poo or stain the outside. Don't ask me how I know this.

ETA - I think beetroot dip would be your culprit

I think food too. It seems a little bit different to blood. Beetroot is terrible when it comes out lol.

Hahaha - we wouldn't be mums if there weren't poo pics at some stage lol.
ETA. I have scrutinized so much poo. Never expected that before kids

Blood in poo tends to be brown (as it's usually been there a while before it makes it out).
You put a warning for graphic content, it's like "ugh, now I have to look!"

Yep blood in poo is dark brown or black as it's not fresh. So not blood

Don't worry, I took a photo of dd1s poo once to send to DH at work as I was so shocked how large it was I had to share with somebody lol
