@stacey10 and @Chillout71 thanks so much for your info. Ive spoken to dr nikos and penny. I think i will go with serum just because i have stage 4 endo and serum is keen to do testing and monitoring of that to ensure it doesnt affect a donor cycle. They both seem like great clinics and have great people working there. Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to share your experiences with me :-)

Lissimo it's an issue that was picked up in my karyotype test. I have all the right amount of chromosomes but part of one chromosome has swapped with part of another. Put me at greater risk of having a baby with problems hence I did PGD testing on my embryos

    Hi
I had an email today from a clinic. They advised that fresh donor transfers are more succesful than frozen (I am doing a frozen) and now starting to stress if I am doing the right thing ?

Maybe ask them to elaborate on why? My FS encouraged me to use fresh if possible because with a frozen there are the extra steps of having to freeze it and then thaw it.. And of course sometimes there is a chance they won't survive the thaw. Most overseas clinics would have a back up plan for this though so maybe ask them what would happen in such a rare scenario?

Quality also makes a difference. For example I was considering the world egg bank at one stage purely for convenience so I didn't have to travel overseas but apparently they care about the number of eggs vs quality of eggs.. Therefore success rates using their frozen eggs are low. But their system is completely different to the overseas clinics who genuinely care about helping you to achieve success.

Lisa I would say that you are probably doing a frozen transfer because you are there for limited days. Of us that go over for a fresh cycle it is not a given on exactly which day the transfer will be and we are there for a minimum of 10 days. It also means the donor doesn't have to cycle exactly with you. There have been plenty of women on this forum getting pregnant from frozen cycle and given that your donor is young and sperm donor doesn't have any fertility issues you should be fine. Stay and think positive.
