    Default Flights etc

Ok I have 2 flights on hold lol I'm hopeless.
I got my leave approved today too woohoo.
I can leave Melbs on Sat 23 July gets to Athens 2.30pm Sunday.
I can either stay to the Thursday (my transfer will be on the Tuesday) or leave on the Wednesday and stop for the night at Dubai. (Airline will pay for accomm).
This means I have a break in stop overs and I can see Dubai or if I stay another night in Athens means another night of relaxing but extra time in plane with no break.
What does everyone recommend that's done the trip.
I've done London before and its horrendous!

Any tips on how to get to serum from the Plaka? Or is it best to take a taxi? @Vixjc?

Stacey10 we took the tube a lot which is super easy, but it's still a walk from the nearest tube. However not a long walk and I found it helped calm the nerves anyway! I chose to stay right near the clinic (in penny's apartment) which was very very convenient and a lovely place to stay (with lots of DVDs to occupy the time when you want to just put your feet up!)

    Hi,

i have been to Athens three times. I recommend the Athens Lotus hotel. They also have apartments. The staff all know me and it is like coming home. It's in what used to be the centre of Athens.

i lived in London for 9 years and I can assure you the flight to Athens, depending on route is so much easier.

    good luck.

Hi Stacey - I used taxis- but tended to ask to be taken to the hospital and showed the map (see map below) instead of 8 Evinou as the drivers would usually get all vague otherwise and you go on a an extended little 'journey'. It's only 100m from the hospital to Serum and there is a taxi rank at the hospital so all very easy ... ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1463091658.184772.jpg

    Default All booked

I'm all booked leaving on 23/7, transfer on the Tuesday, leave the next day and free stop over with free accomm in Dubai for the night. I have booked accomm at Habitat Athens. I remember when I sailed into Athens from Italy I caught a train into the city. Is there a train from the airport to the city?
