Hi I am in Richmond. He seems like a smartass, when he was talking like he knew it all I tried to over talk him with my knowledge and he just kept going it was like he thought I didn't know what I was talking about. I don't know which part of Mthfr and yes that sounds right, she has given me folinic acid to take. HMMM, I've never heard of a Dr that was so anti natural drugs. Looks like I will pay him a visit to get the Mthfr referral at least he is only round the corner. This time I will just say I know everything you are going to tell me, just right the frgnnnnn referral lol

Stay focused & push politely 😀

Oh & the Nk cell test , dr Lynn recommended that one to me & so did my clinician . its not a blood test but a biopsy at day 21 of your cycle so you will need an FS to do that one . Also a heads up with the tests if you chose an os ed then the clinics require tests to be not more than 6 months old leading up to transfer . My husband & myself feel like pin cushions !!

Hi! I did the NKC blood test. The results were sent to my OS clinic and they advised no further testing of NKC required, ie no biopsy. I was happy with that... Of course if you have reason to suspect implantation issues, then the biopsy is going to provide better information. Just in my situation it was not needed.

Also all OS clinics are different when it comes to tests required and when they 'expire'. Iakentro requires about 10 different tests for the woman (can't recall exact number). They are blood tests, swabs and a scan. Of course the tests for DH/DP are a lesser number - why do they always get off so easy!? There are a small number of these tests that Iakentro requires must be less than 12 months old (eg. scan), so unless you take more than 12 months to save up and travel over (like I did), then there is usually plenty of leeway. If you've recently done ivf then that saves on repeat tests. I just got copies of everything from my FS.

    Hope this helps.

the blood tests aren't conclusive enough for Nk testing apparently for some specialists & biopsies are considered more accurate . My sister has just had a biopsy done as she is undergoing Ivf . Last of her own eggs to be transferred . completely different FS to me as well . I asked for a blood test both with FS & Clinician & they both wanted the Biopsy . I think it's one of those topics with differing opinions with dr's perhaps .

Ps @CherryCP , is the Nk test for also not only implantation but for when the embryo grows & the body doesn't attack it as a foreign object ?
I didn't realise it effected implantation as well .i should read up more on this topic !

Also @lissimmo you mentioned seeing a Chinese dr ? I see an acupuncturist in the city who also has given me some herbs . He Helped me recover from d&c quicker . He sees a lot of patients who are about to go OS for Donor Eggs . A friend conceived naturally at 43 with twins said he made it happen for her . So my girlfriends made me go see him I think it's a great support system .

    Hi everybody!

I know every situation is different but I was just wondering what pretests were required by the clinics?

    Laparoscopy
    Hysteroscopy
    U scan
    Bloods
    Swabs
    Fish test
    Endo scratch

These are some listed in your previous posts. I was just wondering if I've missed any.

Going to see the FS next week. Hopefully it'll be a positive reaction rather than me giving him a coronary!!!!
