@Lucky8 I only got the ice pack from my clinic in Greece. I wouldn't worry about it from this end. Serum just noted in my letter going home that I was carrying it. You may not even need it. Just keep it in mind if you do.

I have been experiencing an almost constant mild cramp type feeling for the past couple of weeks. Apparently this is normal as the uterus expands? I've never been pregnant before so every feeling is new to me... and I worry/wonder if everything is okay. Seeing my GP next week.
Yep - that cramping is very normal. Settles down gradually though, to be replaced by morning sickness!

Hello everyoneI posted here a few months ago and you were all very helpful. In fact it was this thread that made us decide against the clinic our specialist was sending us to and instead choose Embryoland. We leave in less than 2 weeks and I am feeling more than a little overwhelmed. I have checked back in here because I have so many questions for anyone who has been to Embryoland such as where did you get the cash component of your payment in Greece, what was your experience like?Plus more general questions for anyone who would like to share their experiences and tips such as how did you carry your meds? How expensive was it to access your savings and credit card accounts in Greece? Did you get a local SIM card while you were there. Any advice would be warmly welcomed. Thank you so much everyone.P.S I am 44, from Brisbane and already have 1 child (naturally). But our fertility journey has encompassed the last 13 years of our lives. This is the end and I am equally excited, reserved and terrified.

    Hi ChinaDoll

All the best with up coming trip, 2 weeks will be here before you know it.

As for cash, we took it with us ordered it in Australia. Also put money on a travel card, there's a atm down stairs from Embryoland that you can get cash from too plus a heap across road. Think to access travel card for cash was only 50c each cash transaction. We pretty paid with cash only, just easier over there.
For phones we are with Optus so we paid $10 a day to have unlimited calls and txts ( we need our phones got our business) and it just worked as normal no need to get new sim or number.
Other women have just been chatting about the meds and travel, I didn't even bother with a letter never got stopped once. I might for our trip over in June/July as we are going to a few different countries and want to be safe.

Experience overseas is like no other, enjoy every bit of it and look toward to hearing about another success story xx

Thanks so much Cherry for your post.

We haven't decided anything as yet. Have read all of the Greek posts including additional posts from website Cherry suggested. Haven't read any posts about the Czech clinics yet.

i know some of you have Greek heritage and so it would make sense to go to Greece. I know the Greek clinics do have students from other countries etc. I am blonde with Green eyes and my husband has Scottish heritage.

Why did some of you choose Greece over Czech if you have similar features to myself?

i'm nervous about committing to a clinic and having a problem like Cherry had when their selected donor only produced 2 eggs to be fertilised. What if none of them survived to the 5 day mark? And we've travelled all that way!

Hi @Gold Coastie. I'm Northern European back ground so more Czech looking than Greek for sure. I checked out many clinics Czech, South Africa, Greece. I picked Serum in Greece because they were so personal with me and I felt comfortable with them. I think that is a good place to start. Plus Greece does have Polish and Eastern European donors available so I wouldn't worry about that. In the end my donor was Greek with light brown hair and fairer features like me. So which ever clinic you chose they will do their best to match you to whatever criteria you need. As for the donor only producing 2 eggs I think you will find that's not the norm. I know at Serum all donors have run as a back up donor to a previous donor (hope that makes sense). So they know what sort of egg numbers they are likely to produce. With me I got 12 and 9 made it to day 5. Good luck on your journey.

Good luck with your second HCG Test @CherryCP @Lucky8 you don't need an ice pack for Clexane. I also took Clexane and as some of the others did I put it in a big lunch box and just had it in my on board luggage. I did have a letter. I was with FS Lynn Burmeister and her staff provided that but I also didnt have to show it. But it was good for peace of mind. @ChinaDoll4 Not sure why but I am glad you didn't go to Genesis. We took AUD with us and just went to a bank near Syntagma Square and changed it to Euro. Definitely dont change it at the airport as the rates are terrible. WE had a little from previous trip to cover us for train fares etc. @Gold Coastie good luck on your new journey. WE chose Embryoland but then I have dark hair (European) and my partner is light but then they used his sperm so it didnt matter to us. For me there seems to be a lot more feedback about Greece which is why we chose to go there. I wanted a child and we now have our pregnancy so I dont care. With regard to donors and eggs don't worry - they will always have a back up donor.
A very exciting time for all the ladies going soon. Enjoy your time away and the experience.

Thanks so much Kitkats and Jaydee for your posts. I'm very happy that you are pregnant Jaydee....I've been an avid follower of all your posts and believe me, I have been celebrating with you all on your successes. it's just wonderful and you all deserve it!!

I've also been wondering how your FS charges you regarding oversea ED. I haven't had this discussion as yet with my FS, but just wanted to grab some general consensus from you guys.

How did you get your results to the various clinics? Did the FS or GP send it or did you guys get the results and send them. Sorry for these questions and if they've been answered in previous posts and I've missed it, I apologise!

I have the cramp constantly too! That and the nausea are making work very difficult🙁
